Speaking about work, finally a 3 week vacation, just one week left! Finally, no more selling and talking about games!!! (I've worked for 8 months at a game-store)
School is up next year. ;D

I'm not really crazy about my new job. It's simple enough but getting up at 6 in the morning 5 days a week wears me down What do you do? To tell the truth I prefer getting up at that time and it looks like the hours I'll be doing in this new job are gonna be early or early-ish starts, meaning I can go home earlier, which is great! First day today, was very weird and there's so much to take in, but it was all good. Handled about £80,000 in cash during the course of the day too!  Nindo: As much as I love video games, I used to work in a store that sold them and it did wear me down after years of doing it. Especially some of the ridiculous questions you get asked sometimes. God I have some stories I could tell! Enjoy your vacation anyway!  Kaz |

Thanks man, I probably sound really happy to be not talking about games for work and all that, but I'll most likely be talking about them afterwards anyway.  And yeah I got PLENTY of stories too...those parents are a real pain when it comes to selling consoles or games! But there was a bright side... Borrowing games/consoles for free, getting discounts on games/consoles, and I'm looking forward to the launch parties ;D (PS3 and Wii) |

Too true Kaz. As another veteran of retail and video games you do get asked crazy questions. What bugged me most though is when people did not take age restriction certificates on games seriously. So many parents complaining about violent games after purchases. Would responsible parents question sitting their 10-year old kids in front of Cannibal Ferox or Texas Chainsaw Massacre? They seem ok in trying to buy GTA though! (despite my efforts in pointing out warnings)
Sorry about the rant.
Work sucks. It's sad that our society bases itself around a 5-7 day working week.

It's very wealthy(the place is friggin huge and has it's own pond with a fountain and wooded area). I'm down in the receiving area sorting books that come down the conveyor belt which then get put in totes and sent to the top floor for shelving in the library. I work 40 hours a week at 8 bucks an hour so I make about 630 bucks every two weeks. It's not bad considering I'll have about $1500 next month. Good thing too cause I spent a lot importing a european black ds lite(these things are awesome) along with Rockman ZX. |

Sell powder like me The key is to stay business oriented. (Also, going around flaunting is a very bad choice.) About video game retail, i'd be the guy scorning most of the popular games and making kids think i'm lame. Yeah... i wouldn't last very long. Fuck yeah. I'm planning on getting one as well. |

Fuck yeah. I'm planning on getting one as well. One thing to keep in mind is that when you buy it you'll only get a charge cable for PAL outlets. However if you order from Play-Asia they'll throw in a free USB charger. Sometime I need to visit my local video game store and buy an NTSC charger. |
