Ok, use a piece of slang in a sentence and then explain it. Since many of us live all around the world should be sorta interesting {-looks at supremelord) American English: "That was the bomb." bomb = totally excellent "Yo dog." dog = man <-- "wassup" = "wazzup" = "Whats up" = "how are you" "Yo, let me dog your hat." In this case, dog is a verb used as "to borrow" so its equivelant to... "Hey, Let me borrow your hat." German: Das war der Hammer! "That was the hammer" hammer = totally excellent Das Auto ist echt Geil! "That car is really horny" this sentence meaning "That is a sweet car" Thats all I can think of for now, slang also varies by region so maybe we'll surprise our fellow countrymen.

Ah come on, everyone knows cockney rhyming slang is teh best!!! apples & pears = stairs dog 'n' bone = phone adam & eve = believe nuclear sub (or "battle cruiser") = pub jack jones = own chalk farm = arm aristotle = bottle jam roll = arsehole niagara falls = balls pigs ear = beer swiss bankers = wankers Forsythe Saga = lager ping pong = strong mickey duff = puff = marijuana Posh ‘n Becks = sex For an example of their usage: Confusing anyone...? ;D Just try speaking to a londoner with a really strong cockney accent who insists on using lots of rhyming slang... I use the odd occasional phrase actually, a lot of people round here do without even realising it - it's one of those things that's just kinda filtered into everyday speech in England at least. Kaz

Hehe yeah it is fun to use, a lot of it has found its way into my vocabulary but thankfully most friends use it too so they know wtf I'm on about Main ones I use are: adam and eve battle cruiser (I'm always there! ;D) jack jones dog n bone Plus a few others. I also realised that me and one of my friends have a massive vocabulary of slang terms that got derived from football, but you'd need to have watched a lot of English Premier League games to know wtf we mean: "That was a bit JESPER!" - if something is shit, we say it is "Jesper"... derived from the player Jesper Gronkjaer who is famed for his erratic crossing of the ball "Fucking hell that was a bit Wiltord!" - Bad shots on goal are "Wiltord's"... in honour of Sylvain Wiltord the Arsenal/France player "FLETCH!!!" - Another one for wayward passing/shooting of the ball... named after Darren Fletcher who plays for Man Utd. We made that one up since we once saw him take a shot from inside the box that went closer to the corner flag than the goal There's more but they would be far too hard too explain to anyone else Kaz

lol, my friends used name slang as well, only we tended to use people from our school. IE: "He's pulling a Mike." <- meaning he's acting really stupid
Now where did Supremelord's post go...?

Kaz whenever i watch a movie when an english guy speaks that way, i could never understand even a single word from it! anyway, here's a few slang i use: bad = good ex. That was totally bad, bro!bombed = bummer, terrible (contradicts DS's "bomb" in these here parts ;D ) ex. That show was bombed, dude.t-back = thong (forms a "T" between the cheeks) op = out of place packing shet! = expression when surprised in a positive way

That reminds me of another usage around my locale.
"I'm bombed out" / "I'm wasted" Meaning: I'm really tired and not going to do anything at all.
I remember some more now...
"That is seriously sketch" / "That is sketchy"/ "He's a sketchball"
sketch in this case, is meant to describe something abnormal.

"That is seriously sketch" / "That is sketchy"/ "He's a sketchball" sketch in this case, is meant to describe something abnormal. we use "sketchy" to describe situations that may end in vain or if it looks like that there's a slim chance of happening like for example: Joe: "So how'd the interview go? Will you get the job?" Rick: "Nah... Rather sketchy chance of that happenin...'"

eg if you landed a trick, but not very well:
"That was sketchy as hell dude!!!"
