Excorsist new version, old version, that movie wasn't scary at all. I've seen the whole Ring (Japanese Ringu) trilogy, and that was some mad scary stuff. The Ring remake was crappy tho, with their useless scare/shock attacks with that sound. It felt like a bad Scream movie. The japanese version was very scary, it kept you in fear the whole time. I don't know how the Japanese do that. ;D Oh and the main character who plays Reiko in the Japanese version (Nanako Matsushima) is really hot. ;D I wanna have a wife that looks young in her 30's. ( for those who don't know her : here's CM of her - www.sumitomolife.co.jp/nanako2/cm_wmp_bb.html ) The scariest movie I ever saw award still goes to Ju-on : The Grudge. Rented it a few months ago, and that was the most scariest stuff ever. Even if you won't get to see some people get killed/slaughtered or whatsoever, the movie will scare you to death. The plot isn't that great, but it's scare factor is to the max. Official site : juonthegrudge.com/IMDB : www.imdb.com/title/tt0364385/

for me:
Ringu series, not becuz the visuals/scenes were scary, but the thought of dying becuz of a cursed tape... that is pretty.. chilling (i didnt watch TV for days after watchin it...)
another is The Tale of Two Sisters... pretty scary..
and imo, Ju-on is hilarious! the bedsheet scene made laugh...
also, im expecting this movie called The Doll Master (my sig), i hope it would be a treat, its a bout a doll museum, wherein murders were found... i think is gonna be out late this year
the original Excorcist was better imo, pretty graphic for its time

Yes, Ju-on is hilarious with 10 friends at your place. But not hilarious when watching it all alone in the night. I've heard of The Doll Master. It looks pretty interesting. Gonna look up for some info

I'm actually interested in it, since it's from the Japanese director who made the original Ju-on. AND the original Kayako and Toshio actors are in it. But the fact that BUFFY is the main character still bothers me...and an AMERICAN NURSE living in Tokyo? Oh well, I'll go and see it. It better not be like "The Ring". That was utter crap.
