Is it just me or have we seen a diminishment in topics as well as members in the past month or months. It was bound to happen as soon as snk announced last game for aes, But what it did was separate true members from rom beggars. But we always see rookies right when a rom drops much like when sso special eventually drops. A while back Kaz took a vote on a separate topic of emulation to be added and i voted against it seeing rom beggars might start popping up. I have changed my mind and thsi might be the spice the boards need to liven things up. What does everyone else think and if reply is good maybe we put it to another vote. Lots of other good emus out there like sega aka gens snes9x, zinc and gba and the mother of them all mame.

well, ive been here for a year or more now... i noticed that there were changes im the members quanitity... it grew, well a bit, cuz when i cam here, there were only like 5 people post ing here (namely Kaz, Seiryu, Goemon, Borquia and i think Raiken too).. and now were ahve about 10 or so regualr poster, it doubled! .. and about the "rom beggars", well we cant force them to stay, at but for those who do, great but what im worried about is the site itself... cuz the neogeo has retired, and see that, so im a bit worried Kaz might lose interest... but seeing that some Atari or NES sites are still around, i still ahve hope for the site's longevity

I certianly don't plan to quit posting here even after SS5S is long forgoten. I have also noticed the diminishment of topics but i understand it cause i think we've talked about every issue & game there is to talk about for the neo-geo atm.
I suggest we have another neo game discussion, what to choose?...

since i've been around it seems to be gradually increasing(the amount of regulars)...not saying it's me that makes u guys stay ....anyway,although i wouldn't mind a few more regulars it's good to know the ones we've got all get on and there is no bitching at each other....we all have a good laugh i think!!. rom beggars will always be about...even when all the neogeo games have been dumped and released....but i kind of agree we could do with making the emulation a general emu section. hullcityfcmad

A shame most of the Dutch buds seem to have forgotten about this place. And earlee... would you believe me when I tell you he doesn't even remember his login password, the damn fool. Earl, if you can read this: how about asking for a reminder, you lazy piece of swiss cheese brain.

That fugly Earl spends all his time working on his own crappy board. ...surprisingly it doesn't such as much as you'd think...

i reckon i'd be here for a long while, and i don't think both the site and the forums will deteriorate anytime soon, all we need are the right things to keep all this up. classic games, especially classic SNK and/or NEO-GEO games will always have a part of me no matter when, so i'm pretty much die-hard overall. even with recent next-gen games i still find the time to play KOF 98, Garou, and even the classic AoF and Fatal Fury! (Nostalgic!) it's because nothing can beat the "classic", old-sk00L feel most of us are familiar with. if Neo would retire from the gaming scene, then all we have to do is consider the site and forums a place for Classic neo games, but even so, while SNK is still around there would always be something to talk about. for instance: i wonder if KOF:MI will have ROMS in the near future ;D

for instance: i wonder if KOF:MI will have ROMS in the near future ;D there is now a possibility... cuz if MaxImpact ever gets an arcade release, and it will prolly be on the Atomiswave, which is VERY similar to the Naomi arcade sys, which is basically an arcade Dreamcast, and the Dreamcast emulation has a promising future now that a WORKING emu is out, so the possibilites of an Atomis & Naomi emu are getting higher... hehe i can dream right?

i reckon we should rest easy on the whole thing. while there are still a good amount of neo fans in this world it's certain there's always something to discuss in the neogeo/snk world.

This forum is quite small in relation to many other forums out there, but that's not necessarily a totally bad thing, because if you do have a massive community then it's inevitable that there will be problems. I have noticed that there have been a few times when the conversation has been a bit stale, but I suppose sometimes there just isn't a lot to talk about, especially on the Neo side of things at the moment. Still, at least the forum never really turns into a flame fest as most of the members here are good people As for the site, my interest does occasionally drop a little, but I'd really doubt I'd lose interest so much that I'd take the site down or anything like that. Besides, when I say my interest drops, it's just a natural thing because it just means I'm suffering something that all of us suffer from from time to time... real life syndrome! Sometimes I can be busy with other stuff a lot, like work or perhaps just being out doing other stuff, so it's hard to find as much time for the site as I used to. Once I think of something on the site I want to work on, I do really knuckle down to it though I don't stop until it's finished (like when I did the Metal Slug reviews). Don't worry though, the site will hopefully be around for looong time to come, and with any luck we'll be getting the emu and fanart stuff going soon, so that will be nice! One other thing we could do is to start posting news again . I know I haven't done much lately either, but if those with news accounts could start posting when they have time then it does help things... when the main site is being updated more regularly it does attract more people to the forums...
