Help with a truly bizarre forum problem.

Here is a 2 part example of what happens when I type in neogeoforlife.co.uk in order to access this forum

The first really small pic is me on a random site, upon where I type neogeoforlife.co.uk into my address bar, upon which it transfers me to a lycos search. WTF?





I've used the shortcut neogeoforlife.co.uk to access this forum for quite awhile. (Even using it earlier today) is this a problem for you guys as well? Or is there some spyware I've got or something.

This does not happen for anything else, including typing neogeoforlife.com

LOL, i think its spyware or sumthin (GAIN, Gator, etc.)

you got p2p's/mirc/freeware/shareware proggys in you pc? usually they are the one who ahve em,

Yeah, I got overnet. But I scanned for spyware and this is still happening. What made it sorta not seem like spyware though, was that it only happened with the address neogeoforlife.co.uk and absolutely nothing else.

I can't understand why this is happening... I know the URL is working ok here whether I type out www.neogeoforlife.co.uk or just neogeoforlife.co.uk. The only thing I can think of is that you have some kind of spyware installed, but I don't know why it only happens on my URL.

Sorry, I just can't explain that one at all... but if anyone else has it happen please let me know

anyways, I have now circumvented this annoyance by installing the google toolbar, the only addition to my browser that I may ever actually use/want.

google toolbar is excellent....and the pop-up stopper is the best one i've ever used
