Indeed! And where do you suppose I found the link to that flash? ;D ;D ;D Lol cool For the DVD's, you need a couple of programs. First off, to make the actual dvd's with menus and stuff, there are a few programs you can use, but I am currently using tmpeg dvd creator because it is nice and simple. That allows you to make your own menu using a simple interface where you just drag and drop your video files into it, choose your background pic, then write in whatever text you want on there and where you want the various track selections etc to be put on screen. You can even do chapter selections and stuff too... with these I just put a chapter selection in on each episode so that you can skip past the opening credits on each episode if you want. Before you can start making your dvd though, you need to make sure that your video files are the correct format... they'll need to be mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 and in the correct resolution and frame rate (or they won't work), so if you have divx files like these naruto episodes where, then you'll have to convert them. For this I used TMPEG Enc (by the same people). Once you know how it is fairly simple to use and has a nice and simple wizard to guide you through the process. It all sounds really complicated at first, but once you have a done a couple of them it's not too hard at all Here's the other two I made... the backgrounds on all of these are just wallpapers that I found on the net, for the next ones I make I might try to do my own if I can find some good hi-res Naruto art... would be easier to fit the menus in if I setup the background pics myself: If any of you have a dvd burner and wanna try this, let me know and I can try and help ya with it. If you don't have a dvd burner, it is actually possible to make vcd's with simple menus that will play in most dvd players... Nero has an option for it Kaz

Nero has the option for it if you choose to burn a vcd with some mpeg files... I used to do it all the time with music videos You probably can use that program you mentioned as there are many programs out there that do it. I'd recommend tmpeg dvd author though as it is very simple to use once you have the correct type of files for dvd making ready (must be in mpeg 1 or 2 format and at the correct resolution/framerate). Might be worth moving this discussion to a "dvd creation thread" or something soon Kaz

Those new menu's look extremely sweet also kaz. So is it possible to play VCD's on a dvd player, & would it have the same quality?

I believe VCDs use compression: MPEG 1 or 2 Whereas DVDs use MPEG4
So, perhaps some suttle quality differences, but you probably wouldn't notice it on a TV anyway.
I know my DVD player can play VCDs, but it really depends on the player. None of my friends players can play VCDs. In general, I think many of the chinese offbrand DVD players are going to support VCD playback, since VCDs are so popular in Asia.

I'd make vcds but I have like 80 episodes of naruto so I just keep them in avi format on cdr's. I'm just waiting for the domestic release here.

Those new menu's look extremely sweet also kaz. So is it possible to play VCD's on a dvd player, & would it have the same quality? Most dvd players will play vcd's just fine, although some older players won't read cdr's so homemade ones wont work. As fot the qaulity, VCD is actually FAR lower quality than DVD. For a start the resolution is at least half of a normal dvd, so even on a tv you will see the difference. If you are going to burn a load of mpegs onto a dvd you can actually make what is known as a DVD-VCD which uses files that are the same quality as a standard VCD, but obviously you can fit LOADS more on a DVD than a standard cd, plus you can do proper DVD menus too. Otherwise, if you re-encode whatever episodes you have in proper dvd quality you won't fit as much (you can still get well over 100 minutes depending on what quality settings you use though) but the improvement in quality will be easily apparent. The big question on what format you decide to use depends on what your source file is like. For instance, my Naruto episodes are quite high quality divx files, so to preserve that encoded them in dvd quality. However, I also made some dvd's that had skate videos on them, and the original files were only encoded from VHS tapes anyway and didn't look amazing originally, so I re-encoded them as mpeg 1 as there wouldn't have been any significant gain in quality if I did them in a higher quality format. Because of this I managed to fit 12 skate videos on one disc, and all of them are at least half an hour. We'll have to make a dvd discussion thread now if anyone wants to try their hand at making their own discs... I'll help if I can, although I'm still learning myself Hullcity: Sega Bass Fishing huh? I never did get to try that. What I wanted to try more was Soul Calibur using the fishing rod... apparently it's quite fun Kaz

When my friend had only one controller. One of us would be forced to play Soul Calibur with the steering wheel.
When his steering wheel broke, we used his fishing rod to play hydrothunder, but couldn't get the throttle to work. Good times... good times...
