i wanted to attach a picture to a post but the image button requires a url. do i need to upload the pic to a net source, or to the computer hosting this forum ? there are many people using images in their msgs, help ?

thats exactly what i'm trying to ask. what do i insert between those tags... do i insert the absolute path of the file on MY harddrive? (note: i'm trying to attach a file thats lying on MY harddrive)

Just thought I'd mention that I moved this to unrelated. Throwen is right in that you need to insert a URL in between the IMG brackets. It won't work unless the site the image is from allows remote linking though.

Yeah, a lot of the free providers go down a lot, probably because of the big load on their servers. I used to use 7host.com for a while and their free accounts weren't bad, but they went down far too often so I stopped using them. Many free hosts (like Tripod) also won't allow remote linking to images as Raiken said, so they won't work. Sometimes ISP's give a little free webspace to their customers, it might be worth checking if yours does, as you could upload the images you want there. For instance, some of the images used in this forum are on my own personal websoace that I get from my ISP. I can't use the NeoGeoForLife webspace though unfortunately, as that server doesn't allow remote linking  Kaz |

got it. i'll check those servers, but i don't think posting the image is really that important for the task at hand. somebody please help me with the graphics glitches in kof2k. i don't wanna d/l 70mb again, it'd take me a WEEK! can i just d/l the graphics roms ? which ones are the graphics roms ?
