I saw it, I liked it Pai Mei is the best. I liked the first better I've seen Hero before. I liked it more than Kill Bill 1 or 2 I don't see what Quentin Tarantino has to do with it though, funding? You will all like Hero Quentin Tarantino did not have anything to do with making Hero, but basically what happened was that Miramax (being the dumb fucks that they are) decided to buy the western rights for the film and just shelve it and not release it. They only agreed to release it because Tarantino wanted to to see it come out (preferably unedited), so they agreed but only if he put his name to the project so that it would sell more. I did some checking around and it seems like this is the reason it took so long to come out and how has QT's name on it. I fucking hate these dumbass movie companies. Kaz

Thinking about KB2 more... and the more I think about it, the more I think it kicks ass, and the more I wanna see it again at the cinema Friday! Bill is such a fucking great bad guy... not just cos he's a psycho and pretty darn evil, but... well, he just rocks. In fact, I almost want to take his side, such is the strength of Carradine's performance... and that is something special considering how great Uma was. I really don't remember another bad guy like him at all... he's very unique.
Never thought I'd rave about the man from Kung Fu ;D

Wow, that is a VERY tough one to call, good question... mainly because the training sequence was one of my favourite parts, and I adore Gordon Liu especially as he was in one of my all time favourite 70's martial arts films (Dirty Ho... don't laugh it's not what you think ). Pai Mei absolutely owned, but the centre of the movie is still what goes on betweem Bill and Uma (I wanna say more but no spoilers ). I guess I'd have to say Bill is my favourite character overall, but Pai Mei is awesome when when it comes to being downright cool in his own way, and also making me feel all sentimental about 70's martial arts movies and the training scenes in some of those. I suddenly feel the need to watch Snake in the Eagles Shadow again now, as well as Drunken Master 1 ;D Kaz

I never really though of David as a great actor but i appreciated him as Bill more then i would some other actor i've seen too much. He did an excellent job as Bill imo though i'm not sure if i'd like to see him in alot of movies in the future. Pai Mei was a very cool character but overall was the same hardcore kung fu master with attitude being hard on his student to make them stronger that i feel like i've seen before. I think Uma had the best performance in the film as a whole. (though its hard not to feel that way considering her role and the fact that she has the most coverage in the film) I could see her being nominated for more awards next year with this film, hell, if the film was released as 1 movie then maybe she would have won an award already.

Seems QT has announced that both Kill Bill's will be fused together & totally unedited for the Cannes film festival. "I was one of the lucky few that got to ask Quentin a question. I asked him whether he had plans to re-edit Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2 back together. He went on to explain about the Japanese versions of both films that were released, which had all of the violent scenes in full colour (House of Blue Leaves etc). Quentin retained the distribution rights to both parts. He then revealed to me that he had already edited both volumes back together and would be premiering the complete film on the last day of the Cannes Film Festival this year!" www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=17403Hopefully QT will follow it up with Spicy DVD release sometime.

I read about this on AICN too. I hope this gets released too.. it might be money grabbing but I don't care as I really wanna see it put back together the way it was originally intended. They are supposedly going to be doing a cinema release for it as well, so I think I'll definitely be booking tickets for that. I doubt the majority of people would have the stamina to sit watching one movie for over 4 hours though Hoping they restore the Michael Jai White fight scene! Kaz
