I currently have SFA 3 and MK Trilogy as the only 2D Fighters on my PSX. I was trying to find an SNK game but the only 2D fightersl I could find was Jo Jo's Bizzare Adventure , the shooter Metal Slug X and Capcom Vs SNK Pro for PSX. I wasnt sure whether I should get Capcom Vs SNK Pro PSX cause Ive heard a lot of complaints about it, is the game worth buying?

The 2d fighters on the PSX tend to lose out when it comes to animation frames and stuff like that, but I haven't played the PSX version of CVS so I couldnt comment. Go to gamefaqs as there are a tonne of reader reviews for it on there: www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/review/14962.htmlYou could always buy a DC for REAL cheap and get hold of CVS for that Hope that helps Kaz

If you ARE a real Fan of SNK, like me , I would buy it, although it isn“t far as good as the CvS2! Or the DC-Advice from Kaz is one good possibility!!

Well, I bought it now anyway. And, um, I am a bit dissapointed cause its looks like they didnt give it much effort like they made with SFA 3. Looks a bit rushed and choppy, but loading times were like SFA 3 Nevertheless, the gameplay good for me, this is the first time Ive played cross-over game besides KOF, and I like the way they did some of SNK's Sprites, Terry's sprite was cool so were the shokotan's. I hate the way they used older sprites though. I read many reviews that they complained about the pixilated graphics, I aint really bothered about that. Proberly cause Ive never played the DC versions. BGM was Horrible man! Im so happy I could switch to the classic music. IMHO, I dont like the Idea of mixing 2D graphics with 3D thougth, it dont look right.

Ive just played through the whole game twice, finished with Terry and Kyo on SNK groove, I got Bison as the last boss. Then I finished the game with Ryu and Ken on Capcom groove, and fought Geese as the last boss. Geese was much harder to beat than Bison. ;D Now that Ive played through the game I like it now. I just adored the moving train background from the fatal fury games, geese's background, and Bison's background . (I swear capcom ripped that from Krizalid's KOF99 background). Character animation was choppy but that didnt bother me. Too bad that this is the last 2D fighter they'll ever be on the old PSX

they cut the frames of animation in half for the psx version and the flame effects look really shitty...DC really is the way to go.

You can get CvS2 on the DC too... provided you don't mind getting the Japanese version as it was never released in the US on DC.
No excuse for not getting a DC now... they are cheap cheap cheap ;D

Like al lot have said....Saturn and Dremcast are the best machines to get for 2d ports and arcade conversions.....they're 2D beasts. that's why, teh Saturn and DC are the home of Ren-ai games/Dating sims/Hentai games, which are all beautifully renderd 2D... You can get CvS2 on the DC too... provided you don't mind getting the Japanese version as it was never released in the US on DC. Kaz but i would love to get me hands on the CVS2 Fandisk.. its sooooo rare, and it even has save files for every capcom game!!! ;D
