What Internet Nicks do you use, and why?

This is a topic I've seen posted before on other forums, so I thought "what the hell, why not do it here as well" . A lot of you have interesting nicknames, but what made you choose that nick, and what does it mean to you? Also, do you use any other nicks elsewhere on the internet?

Since I got on the internet in 96, I've gone by a few nicks, but after a couple of years, Kazuya_UK kind of stuck. Originally I went by the amazingly imaginitive (yeah right) nickname "Soul Edge" and also Mitsurugi. After a while I changed to "RidgeRacer" for a very short time, and then to "Kazuya Mishima".

As Kazuya Mishima was too long as a nick on IRC, I decided to change to Kazuya, but there are probably about 1000 other people out there that wanted to use that same nick, so I needed a way to make it stand out... so I added the "_UK" bit to the end. I can't remember why I decided to put UK, maybe it was patriotism or something .

I also occasionally use the name "AngelusKazama". That's a strange name I know, but it makes sense in a way. I was trying to think up a new name to use and couldn't think of anything so I tried "Jin Kazama", "Mr. Kazama" and about a dozen other similar nicks and they were all taken (on hotmail). I was actually watching Buffy the Vampire on TV at the time, so I decided to try "Angelus" and of course, that was taken too. So I thought, let's try "AngelusKazama" as I thought no-one else would be dumb enough to try a name like that... and I was right. So now, I'm either known as Kazuya_UK or AngelusKazama.

You may have noticed that all my nicks have been Namco related in some way... I'm a big Namco fan so I always have done. It's weird though, considering how big an SNK fan I am, I've never had an SNK/Neo Geo related nick as far as I remember. I still have no idea why

Well I've gone thro a few when we first got the net I was known as Pika or pikachu which I thought sucked considering where is was from Then I was known as Eminem_uk that one was ok I still kinda use now but my main name I'm known by is Edgevis which orginated from my two best mates Dan n Crag so its kinda stuck. Some people also know me as Vickz which I think is prolly the best outta them all ;D

I went through a few internet nicks:

I use BoriquaSNK and BoricuaSNK for most of my accounts now.

I've also used luxuryofdirt3000, e-rock, and easye. My friends here call me firestick after some entertaing and possibly suicidal stunts I did while drunk on a camping trip.

I mostly just use this one for anything I would use one for, I do use MV1-F at HARD OCP's forum when I troll around there now and then.

No one has a clue what it means either

I had a few stupid nicks. First it was darkeye but I thought that sucked then I tryed marron but I didn't like that either. Now wherever I am I go by Raiken or trueraiken if someone's already taken my name. The one exception to this is at www.zone.com where I go by raikentb(raiken the bloodshed). I just took a few of my favorite hiragana symbols and used them to create a name.

Well my real last name is wright so most of the time I use mrwright123 but sometimes I use ukyo because in the late eighties I dominated arcades as my favorite character Ukyo. Does anyone know the history of the character?

i started using davsil, w/c is short for dave silverio (my name), it's kinda lame, then i used soujiro... but it doesnt fit me...

my friends and i when to a chick's house for a party, she was half chinese, and a buddhist, so her house had a sort of a shrine wit a buddha statue (the fat one, the one with the many children),

and one of the guys said it looked liked me, cuz' im fat, and my earlobes are long (appx 8 earings could fit!)... i didnt get angry, i think it was cool... so i started calling my self Buddha! (also i liked gaira, my fave samsho char!) but i thought buddhists may get angry, so i added a -kun (means a male friend), so i used buddha-kun, cause everybody love's me!) ;D, i later used roninbuddha, but it doesnt quite make sense (a lone warrior god! LOL!) then i started using the name buddha-kun on my comics, and later, everything from my email account to this forum! ;D my sisters call me buddha too...

Actually I have one more nick at work. General Flames: McDonalds 38th squad. I work in a really weak McDonalds(half our machinery was broken today ;D) that doesn't have much authority. I have a name tag with my normal name on it but only wear it when the corporate guys come in for an inspection.

I´ve always used Seiryu(blue dragon) as a nick.
I always liked the story behind the shishin.
Long before that Anime came along that also used the four gods story in it.
They worked it out pretty wel in Fushigi Yuugi.
The anime was very funny.

Basicly Seiryu is one of the four guardian gods.....
Supposed to be the violent one and also the strongest...

Descriptions: Originating from China, there is a legend about four god-like creatures. Depicted in Japanese folklore and stories under various titles such as "Shishin" (Four Gods) and "Shiseijuu" (Four Divine Creatures), the group is made up of Byakko, Suzaku, Seiryu, and Genbu. Byakko (White Tiger) is shown to be a tiger with white fur. Suzaku, literally translating to "Red Sparrow", is represented as a Phoenix. Seiryuu (depending on translation, can mean either "Blue Dragon" or "Green Dragon") is seen as a dragon with green skin. Genbu is unique from the others, for two creatures represent it. In most images, a turtle-like creature is joined with a coiling, long serpent-like creature. It's name literally translating as "Dark/Black Military", Genbu is depicted as various types of monsters in books and drawings, such as a spiky, hard-shelled stone monster, or an actual snake. Said to be the protectors of a legendary fortress, Byakko guards the western part, Suzaku guards the southern part, Seiryuu guards the eastern part, while Genbu guards the northern part.

After that it was Daaran, it was generated by Everquest

One day my friend was editing a Warcraft 3 map, and added our names in, but writed Daaren instead of Daaran, i found it cooler so i sticked to this one

When I first started going to forums, I used the nick DukeofURL cause I thought it was funny.

Then I got AIM, and my name on that was LordKarpington, named after my friends that call me Karp because... well... I don't really know why but they wont stop.

After awhile, I watched the anime "Bastard" and started going around as Darkschneider, named after the main character. It wasn't too imaginative, but its easy to remember.

I thought once (probably for this forum) abuot registering with the name of an SNK fighter, but all of my favorites don't have good names. (IE: Geese, Goenitz, Orochi etc.) I do like the name Wolfgang Krauser though, I may switch it to that sometime soon.

- This is the first time I use 'Hibiki' as my nick. I simply want to use her pic as my avatar so that it will match. She's also my favorite character from Last Blade series.
- I frequently use 'Firey' as my nick. I like Kyo and he wields flame, so...
- Sometimes I use 'Kecoa' when I'm pissed if all the usernames have been taken. It means 'cockroach' in my language.

Well my nick is earlee, so if you take away a few letters, peeps can pretty much figure it out.
