If I use an MVS converter to play MVS games on the AES system how do I insert coins and access the dipswitch menu? Is a pcb board simply an MVS cart without the casing?

If you play MVS games on the home system using a phantom, they will play in home mode anyway, so there will be no need to insert coins. PCB stands for "printed circuit board", so it could refer to pretty much any arcade board or whatever Oh, just so you know, the MVS to AES convertors, or "phantoms" are a bit unreliable. They work perfectly on pretty much all games for most people, but others have problems with certain games. Also, they don't seem to work 100% with certain revisions of the home console, so take care if you plan on buying one. Kaz

Ok thanks. This december I'll have a chance to make enough money for a system and a converter but in the mean time I plan to start picking up some mvs carts. I already got garou for $62.

$62 isn't a bad price, and MotW is well worth that much anyway! If you haven't check them out yet, one of the best places to go to is www.mdgamesales.com. Mike there is a damn good seller and always delivers quickly and basically his service is top notch. Good prices too. Cosmicco in HK is also good, they have VERY VERY cheap prices, but unfortunately it isn't worth it unless you are ordering a few carts at one time. Shipping from HK is very expensive, and you'll have to pay them via western union or bank transfer, which will bump up your costs a little more. If you plan on doing a bulk order they are great, but for one or two carts it probably isn't worth it. One other thing - make sure that you don't pick up any bootleg MVS carts as well. The Phantom convertor has a lot of probs with bootlegs from what I hear, so that could cause you some problems too unless you are careful. Kaz

I bought a copy of it from ebay from bbu9715965. His account seems to have been very active lately so I doubt someone is using his name plus he's given 30 days to send him payment since he doesn't take paypal. BTW thank's for those sites Kaz I'll have to check them out. A new blue model of the phantom-1 has been released by !arcade! that's also being sold in bundles with modded neo's so I imagine they work with the newer models.

The nice thing about cosmico is that they'll tell you if its a boot, if there's an asterix after the cart name its a boot.

Excellent. I was a bit nervous about it since there are lots of various garou bootlegs around and I was hoping this guy was reputable cuz he sells stuff almost as cheap as MDgamesales.
