i wonder if microsofts new console will again be outsold by non-backlit GBAs and old-stock dreamcasts in japan.

Hahaha even with the advantages this time around I hope the 360 goes the way of the DC(I hated that it happened that way for the DC though). Fuck M$ ;D

The bald guy comparison is stretching it. ;D
In the end though, the only thing that counts is that it isn't Sega behind the Xbox 360, but Microsoft.

very true, although I kind of agree with Raiken's 'sentiment'. Microsoft already dominate the PC world and the last thing I'd want is a domination of the console industry as well. Not that this'll happen though, particularly given microsoft's previous track record in the Japanese market, although unlike Sega they've got loads of money that they can just throw at the 360 to buy exclusivity rights etc.
Personally , I'll leave the Xbox 360 be. Many of it's games (e.g. Eldar Scrolls Oblivion, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2) are appearing around the same time on the PC. Xbox 360 is hardly going to drive a pc gamer like myself to spend £300 on playing games that I already have the hardware to play.

Paying another $100 for the full console set is retarded too imo.

being a hardcore DC fanboy,,, i'd say the article was funny, enough,., but there are some things that 360 will lack that the DC has.... i think -a hardcore dedicated fanbase who knows quailty games- -NIPPON GAMING GALORE- -still produce games 4 years after it's demise... - (haha)

*also a DC fanboy*
i work in a indie games store in the UK. and national retailer GAME are doing MINIMUM 360 bundles starting at £700 (this is about $1,300), where you have to buy at least 8 of the ten confirmed launch titles!
i hate microsoft, and i hate the uber-westernised, generic crap that comes with the xbox.
ironically, the only games i liked on the original xbox were Sega titles (otogi, outrun 2, and panzer dragoon).................

That's insane; I'm definitely not getting any next-generation consoles soon. My Dreamcast is something I still use as well, although I don't always have it hooked up. I can still remember the good old days of playing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Shenmue . At any rate I believe that £700($1,300) is WAY too much for the system, the price for an Xbox with all the extra features here are $400.00 without any games. But being required to buy the games as well? That's what I call price gouging.

In all irony I'll probably be buying a regular x-box in the near future. Almost a year ago a port of Half-Life 2 was supposed to come out and I thought it was cancelled but it was released last week. Now that my only reason to get one besides Doom 3 is out I'll probably grab one.

Bah, I'm sick of all these "console movers" all jumping on the next-generation of gaming. I played Call of Duty 2 on the Xbox 360, it has nice grahpics, but nothing special. I guess it counts on the monitor you play it on (it was an older LCD screen) and you have to the count the fact that the game was only the pre-release demo. Overall, it was nice looking, but nothing ground-breaking, at least not yet.
Personally, I'm gonna wait a few months (or year) until the price drops down to $350.00 for the regular 360 (Not the core system). I'm still worked up about increasing the prices of the video games from $50.00 to $60.00. I hope they don't do the same for PC games as well. By the way Raiken, Half Life 2 is an awesome game, I just beat it not too long ago.

I'm still sticking with my PS2 for now, I'm still happy, but I wish more SNKP ports would be released to the US. Damn the SCEA for not allowing SNKP games.
Actually, that's the only reason why I could see myself buying an XBox 360 because Microsoft supports SNKP and 2d gaming.
