Just curious as to what games you guys are currently playing? At the moment I have just finished Resident Evil 4 for the PS2, which made me wish I had picked it up sooner on the Game Cube as it's awesome. Saying that, although the PS2 version has slightly worse graphics, it does have true widescreen mode as well as the extra Ada missions, which is cool. Also on my list at the moment: - Soul Calibur III (PS2) - Pro Evo 5 (PS2) I also finally grabbed Metroid Prime for the Game Cube, but to be honest I'm having a VERY hard time understanding why everyone raves about it so much (in fact as of this moment I think it's crap ). Any fans out there that would like to tell me the error of my ways? I really want to like it, but right now I just can't get into it at all. Kaz

Let's see...
Darkwatch (xbox), which is a neat vampire & wild west mix. Zero Gunner 2 on Dreamcast, and Castle of Shikigami 2 on ps2
Now that you've finished RE4 a first time, save up for the rocket launcher with unlimited ammo, Kaz. It's tons of fun. ;D As for Metroid Prime... I acknowledge that it's a great game, but with the kind of greatness that doesn't appeal to me. Still too much backtracking to my liking, and I never really got used to the lock on system. I have to admit that I had some of the most intense gaming moments ever against a couple of the bosses in there.

Yeah I'm gonna go for the infinite rocket launcher as I'll be sure to play through it again soon, after finishing Ada's missions etc . As for Metroid, I'll have another blast at the weekend, see if I can actually get some enjoyment out of it... jpj: for a number of reasons. A whole new sub game for Ada (Seperate Ways), widescreen TV support, which the Cube version was lacking and is important to me personally, and I'm not really a fan of the Cubes controller, although I'm sure it's probably just fine for Resi 4. The only advantages to the Cube version is that it was released earlier, but I never had time to play it when it first came out, and the graphics are a bit better... but not enough to make me want to play it instead of the PS2 version. The extra missions are worth more than improved graphics imho anyways... Damn you buddha for having KOF XI goodness in your arcade already! Kaz

GTA: Liberty City Stories (PSP) Metal Gear AC!D (PSP) Virtua Tennis (PSP) Ridge Racer (PSP) Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Emu)
Im unbeaten at work on Virtua Tennis. Just got GTA:LCS and its way cool. Multiplayer rocks. Living on MGA, its probably my fave game for PSP so far. Im just too good at Alpha 3 online so I just stick to it and with the PSP one on the way I cant stop playing it.

- Feel the Magic XY/XX (DS) - Legend of Zelda : Wind Waker (GC) - Castlevania : Dawn of Sorrow (DS) - Advance Wars : Dual Strike (DS)
haven't really played any PS2 games recently... one reason for that is because the GameCube is connected and we only have RF connection on our TV, which is a bit of a pain to connect with the RF adapter.

* Radiant SIlvergun (SS) * Dodonpachi (SS) * Ridge Racer Type Type 4 (PS1) * Virtua Fighter 4 Evo (PS2) * Star Ocean (PS2) * Viewtiful Joe 2 (PS2)
I actually don't have too much time for playing game at the moment, technically, but I still somehow managed to cram in the time to give all of the above games a razzle.
Mainly playing Star Ocean, but I was putting a bit of time on Project Zero 2 last weekend to get into the Halloween swing of things. God that game scares me no matter how many times I play it through!
Dying to pick up RE4, but I think I iwll wait til I have a bit more time on my hands!

What do you think of Gunstar Super Heroes? I emulated the japanese version to test it out and was very disappointed since they nerfed the melee system imo. How can you not have throws? Kaz: I played and beat Metroid Prime a good while ago and I think I liked it because of it's storyline more then anything. I'd argue that essentialy it's just like any other Metroid game but done in FPS in order to be 3D. I really need to get the sequel and Zero Mission sometime too.

gunstar is a disappointment, te be honest. the level design isn't great; i don't think the flying sections are very good. astro boy omega factor is way better. resi 4 chainsaws back in at work. but £50 on ps2!?!?!?!? while the chain still doesn't rotate, this one (unlike cube one) makes rev sounds when you push/pull start button

(*Sighs) Had a feeling Gunstar Super Heroes wouldn't match up to expectations ... I didn't like the sound of not being able to mix and match weapon combinations, amongst other niggling things. A sad shame. I was tempted to pick up a DS or GBA for this. Guess I'll have to pick up Res Evil 4 in the next week or so to cheer myself up!!!!!
