p.s: Buy Groove on Fight! It's that good of a fighter? How does it compare to the other fighters on Saturn?

Well! I thought groove on fight was stv only but after poking around I see it is on saturn too (jap of course)...
Having played groove on fight on stv quite a bit I am presuming sat version is the same: its an atlus game and definately interesting fighter...
Appears to use ram expansion so presume it runs fine.
As for comparison ... dunno bit like guilty gear in feel ... its certainly a bit different from average fighter. Considering its relative rarity (ie. wont be getting this on another format) I would get this over the street fighter alpha series if you can get a good price on it. It's not super great but its pretty good. Definately better than cyberbots 2 ... I prefer it in style over darkstalker games...
Crap I want to buy it now...
Bottom line if you like fighters; get it 100%.
If you are unsure maybe stick with sf (particularly if u got a good price on zero 3) ... I would say street fighter is a sharper game (and you know what you are getting)... and marvel vs sf is a good laugh. But theres no denying theres something fresh to be had in groove ... albeit not so polished.

Yeah it's great runs perfectly with ZERO SLOWDOWN and it's also 4 player so if you have a multi-tap I would adivse in buying it just so you can use your friends as weapons when they are knocked out by throwing them around at the enemy lol.
The game I would say it pretty much like a cross between guilty gear and the maral cross over games but a lot more simplyed so you don't have to be an exeprt in fighting games to do all the specials etc.

Just got action replay ram card ... but it is has no label on the front, so it is basically a big white cart ... why are the ones floating around ebay nearly all like that? Anybody any ideas? It is a bit shoddy and flimsily built too. I thougt mine was broken to begin with, but I rocked it in the cart slot, as it seems to wiggle a lot to the left and right (half worried it would break), and it finally worked and booted up my copy of Radiant Silvergun. Christ, that game is hard compared to Ikaruga!

I'll have to put Groove on Fight on my list of Saturn fighters to get then. I recently acquired Rabbit and Asuka 120%. I have yet to give Asuka a try (it's a fighting game featuring schoolgirls, but apparently it's nothing like those crappy Pretty Soldier fighters), but Rabbit came in as a pleasant surprise: your character can use the assistance of an animal spirit, and you defeat other fighters in order to acquire their animal spirit. Fun to play for awhile, and with a zoom in function that doesn't make everything look crappy! Yeton, I wouldn't worry too much about your card having no label. Even the ones with label look rather shoddy to me, and certainly nothing like the official Saturn stuff. Just don't take it out and put it in again too much: the Saturn cartridge slot struck me as very sensitive: on some occasions I had to slightly change the position of the cartridge inside (also officially licensed cartridges) in order to have contact. That's why I'm just leaving the action replay cartridge in the slot now, even when playing games that don't really need it.

When I was shoving it in last night I wasn't sure if I'de snapped it, because you just don't feel the click of when it snaps into place like you do with an official memory card. That was quite a hair-raising moment. I was like "OH F***!"

My AR 4m is perfect to, you guys muct of gotten an early moddel or something. Seriously thoug hi ordered my from play-asia, apreantly AR are still producing them even today to cater to the Saturn fans whom want to play Xmen vs Street Fighter on the Saturn, weird eh!?
Yeah once you have an action replay you really don't need to take it out unless you want to play Panza Dragoon Saga (it don't like AR's) but saying that there is a code that you can use with the AR to get it work, I don't know it though but I was told about it on Gamefaqs so you might have to 'google' for it.

That is pretty insane! Just wondering then, what version of Action Replay do you all own? I think mine is a 1.94.

Just got a UK Saturn off ebay (came with Nights and Panzer Dragoon 2 so is pretty cool) and want to start getting some of the classic Jap titles like Waku Waku 7 and Groove on Fight.
However, I've heard mixed reactions as to how well the Action replay4M works. How much does the version type make a difference? Was thinking of getting one from Lik-Sang but are Play-Asia's newer?
it's pretty cool to see that they're still making these though.

Well I got mine from play-asia and it seems to work OK with every game I own apart from Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow over Msyteria which is a 4meg games but with Street Fighter vs Xmen is works just fine so I dunno what's up with that.
I would advise you to buy it from play-asia though because they have never ripped me off, the cart works just fine and they seem like a new batch (ver 2.01) and most of all the price is reasonable and postage is cheap and quick most of the time unless you get stung by customs which has only ever happened to me once.
Every one thats reviewed the product on play-asia has given it 5 apart from me whom gave it a four because it di not work with Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow over Msyteria but on the whole it's an essental peice of kit and it works with 99% of sega saturn games and it's save function is a lot more stable than the dredded offical Sega Saturn carts (can not count the many times that mine and my friends carts have "erased themselfs" lol.) plus it's AR you can hack into the games and get stuff that normaly would not be obtainable VIA regular means or you can just cheat on games with it if you're feeling lazy but I would never use mine for such a thing heh.

Yeah, I have to agree with that remark about the official mem carts: mine corrupted several key saves, including Nights and my best time replays on Sega Rally! I was gutted. Other than that one occasion it has worked fine though. Very, very annoying.
