I know Kof2003 is not new to you old schoolers but I have been recently been playing this game and I got my ass handed to me by Rugal. What are your best strategies for beating him. Keep in mind when playing games for some strange reason I dont use the continue option. If I cant beat in one shot I start over. Is that wierd or is there other people like me. Enough with the side bar. I use Kim K( just because I love the sound of him stomping on people's head ayiah ayiah ayiah. Any advice is good advice. This game is great but you guys already know that, much better than rage and matrimelee. I know thats another thread. oh well.

erm,which kof are you referring to?
kof94,95,98-jump and kick rugal(sometimes)mostly go towards him and aweep him all the time.sont give him no timeto get up.

I assume you meant 2002 Ukyo, as 2003 isn't out yet  I can't give you any exact tactics as I'm pretty lame at KoF, but I usually tend to be able to muddle my way through and beat him. Just be sure not to get hit by his Genocide cutters and stuff... and just make sure to get a hit in whenever you see an opportunity, otherwise you *will* get wasted. Provided you know a couple of reasonable combos with your character, you should be able to zap down his energy. Anybody else out there that isn't lame at KoF like me?  Kaz |

If it's in 2002, Just attack him with long range attacks except projectiles because he can deflect them
Or use Ryo, stay back and when you get special bar, shoot a haoh shokoken (he always get hit)
When he come close, do a kohoken (and stuff like that)

Well, try to play against him as often as you can, then you learn his Moves and when the right Moment comes do tha killa Combo!!! Again and again. That´s what I do!  |

Yeah...he likes to show of that stupid new fast kick,kick,punch the gorund move he has.....just stay back and when he does that move or the genocide cutter.....kick the shitze outta him. ultra best strategy for beating rugal.............not getting killed,stay alive. |
