Sengoku Cannon, the excellent sequel to Sengoku Blade, is scheduled for a July 28 release in Japan. Official website: www.x-nauts.com/psp/cannon/Not that much to gather on the website apart from four rather small pics, but it sure looks sweet. Apart from that, I also noticed that another shmup, Star Soldier, will make it to the psp. The psp's 16:9 screen is put to full benefit in this one, as you will be able to use a tate (vertical) mode by holding your psp vertically. Star Soldier is set for a July 21 release, pipping Sengoku Cannon to the post by a week. Official website: www.hudson.co.jp/gamenavi/psp/starsoldier/index.htmlSince shoot 'm up have always been import friendly, and given the region free psp games, this is a dream come true for shmup fans. Rejoice.

Thanks for the post man... personally I can't wait for these because this is exactly the sort of thing I want to get my hands on for the PSP. Shoot 'em ups are well suited to a handheld, perfect for those boring lunch breaks at work etc ;D On a seperate note, still waiting for Wipeout to turn up from lik-sang... I knew I should have gone for DHL delivery, I guess that will teach me to be cheap . I love Ridge Racer but I sure have been playing it to death for weeks now and could really do with something else to play Kaz

Oh hell yeah, star soldier. Lets hope they use the old soundtrack form the pc-engine version, that soundtrack is still one of the best to date. I wont buy a psp though but i would love to try star soldier. Lets hope it comes out better then the horrid N64 version of superstarsoldier they made......ugh
