I'd be happy to, i'm glad that you don't hate on older RPGs just cause they're old looking.
I'll share with you my top 5 best RPGs of all time. They are the best, it's a fact.
Chrono Trigger: (you've already played it, good stuff) My personal Fav. of all time.
Suikoden 1 & 2: These where made by Konami (Konami rocks) on the PS1, they are rare and cost alot on Ebay (i was smart enough to buy them both when they just came out) because people found out how much they rock alot later. You should be able to find the Disc Images online to play it with a PS1 emu. Suikoden 2 seriously has the best written and most compelling story line ever in an RPG imo. I only like Chrono Trigger better for the replay value.
Final Fantast 6: (named FF3 outside of Japan) It's an amazing and Original game, you'll like it especially if you loved Chrono Trigger. It's for the SNES so it should be easy to find.
Final Fantasy 7: K, this was for the PS1. It's the Fav. FF by most fans. I'm probably wasting my time telling you about cause you've already played it and forgot to mention it. It's a must play.
Those are pretty much favs that you must check out. Also if you like strategy RPG's Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 is Outstanding with a great storyline.
If you're looking for strictly roms Earthbound made by nintendo is a great SNES RPG but so unique it's not very popular.
I know their are alot more excellent underated old RPGs to recomend but i can't think of anymore atm.

I recommend Breath of Fire 2 (my favourite) and Seiken Densetsu 3. Terranigma may be good, but I haven't played it much. I have played Earthbound, but beyond the kooky humour I didn't really enjoy it much for some odd reason. If you're willing to look elsewhere, I'd recommend the Shining Force games on the MD for more tactical battles.
