I had this sudden urge to play Oni for the ps2 today. It's one of the first games created for the ps2 and it was made by rockstar and bungie. I got it when I first bought my ps2 and I like it a lot despite a fairly steep learning curve. Think Max Payne but with more hand to hand combat then gun fights. The game didn't seem all that great wherever I read about it but I think it's very underrated. Shot of the main character Konoko. Anyone here play a game that's like this for them?

I've been having major urges to play Turtles Tournament Fighter on the snes, I loved that game but I don’t think it got much press when it first came out, it ripped off loads of 2D fighters but I had a lot of charm. righty my snes is coming out if retirement

One game that springs to mind for me as being underrated is Tuff enuff for the SNES... it wasn't the best fighter ever but it was a hell of a lot of fun and had some great music. The only person I know for sure around here that loves it as much as I did is seiryu. I remember him posting some music rips from it once in fact, I wish I still had those! I had Oni a while back... I thought it was ok, but I only played it for a few hours before getting a little bored. Maybe I should have persevered? Kaz

It's a little tricky in the beginning because you haven't learned your better fighting techniques yet. Once you get the running lariat though it's great because you can grab people you run up to while spinning around and kicking other people in the face ;D

Yeah it's actually not bad... it's just the DBZ thing though, many people hate the series so they refuse to play it. I'm not exactly the biggest fan, but I did find the latest game fun for sure.
