This is a ridiculously good japanese freeware game. I've been playing it for several hours now and I still have a ways to go. You can get it and the english patch here: agtp.romhack.net/doukutsu.html

Wow that's cool, I just played it for half an hour and I think I'm gonna be addicted to it. It may sound daft in this day and age but that could easily have passed for a very well done commercial NES/Master System game. Gonna be playing that tomorrow morning methinks, just gotta make sure I don't get sidetracked from finishing the site now . Thanks for the link man!!! Kaz

So it's an adventure game kinda like metroid right? Do you think it's as fun as a Metroid/Castlevania type adventure game? I hate to bombard you with question Raiken ;D but also what res does it run and does it have a good storyline?

Kaz: No problem:) Goemon: Yep it's about as fun as metroid and other games of that type. It takes about 4-6 hours to beat and runs on a number of resolutions although I just used whatever the default was and it was fine. The storyline is fantastic and there's 3 different endings so there's a good deal of replay value. Highly recomended.

Holy crap The last level for those who shoot for the best ending is insane. It's been awhile since I played a platformer this difficult.

What were the conditions for getting the best ending then? Kaz You'll eventually get to this labyrinth where you can get a jetpack but you shouldn't take it. This allows you to save Curly numerous times which is needed to get the best ending. There's a walkthrough for it here: www.1up.com/do/userFAQ?cId=3399377&cmId=3138091
