Any Game Gear Fans?

I got Game Gear when it was first released, but never built a game library for it. Now I'm trying to find some good games. I found a decent games list on gamefaqs.com's forum that included must-haves and such, but all those lists are very similar. Has anyone ever played any game gear games that are worth buying? Anyone ever played Strider's Revenge? Just looking for something new for something old.

There was this awesome space-shooter for GG, that is totally a must have. The music was amazingly awesome and gets stuck in your head for days.

I don't remember the name, but it had a "2" after the name, and I don't think 1 was released on the GG.


I also recommend Incredible Crash Test Dummies, and probably all the sonic games.

Ristar was also good.

Mostly go for that shooter though. Best game on the GG as far as I'm concerned.

I emulated a few games for it but never had a real one. The sonic games are insanely hard

Was always a GB guy to be honest... I kinda wanted a GG as they were cool, it was just the battery life and slightly wishy washy screen that put me off personally, but there were some very cool games on it.

My fave games were GG Shinobi and Streets of Rage.
I played them to death

If you can get hold of those you’ll be entertained trust me. ;D

I wanted one at the time, but opted for a Megadrive at the last minute. I'd advise Columns, Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and the GG Shinobi's. Maybe try your luck and find Gunstar Heroes and Dynamite Headdy too!

I loved the gg and I think Shinobi is a must have along with mk1 it's not that bad.
