ok, im now offically a tekken convert.... i line up in long lines in the arcades just to play! i even bought a Card for arcade tekken!!! of corz my char is Asuka.. hehe  i ahve more loses than wins, but who cares, im a newb in Tekken in general, but i can still paly well, JJG@mer taught me some cool tricks in Tekken 5 (he's a TekkenTag/Tekken4 expert, he's even better in tekken than in KOF)... overall, i now ahve full respect for Tekken, specificlaly 5... |

Asuka is great, she really is, and I'm stoked to have someone that plays like Jun used to in 2/Tag, she's still one of my favourite characters. Buddha: good to know you got into it... But can it be used for the PS2? I dont think so, and if so, where would it go? |

Yeah that's what I'm saying, I have no use for it cos I can't play Tekken in the arcades (only place I have seen it is in London), I just bought one cos they are a nice collectable to have. And no, it can't be used on the PS2  Kaz |

She basically is Eddy, same moves and all... she took his place in Tekken 4, although Eddy is back in Tekken 5 as well. I love that fighting style (Capoeira), but it's annoying to fight Eddy/Christie in Tekken cos they are a button mashers dream. You can actually use them reasonably skillfully if you want to, but you'll always be accused of being cheap even if you do Kaz |

btw, is it just me or does the ps2 have some downgrade/upgrades (GFX wise) compared to the arcade ver?
what namco arcade sys does T5 run on anyways?

I haven't seen Tekken 5 in arcades so i don't know if it looks better then the ps2 version but the more i play the ps2 version i'm starting to think it's the best looking console fighter i've ever seen. DOA 3 arguably has it beat when it comes to backrounds but the Tekken 5 player models and skin textures look so excellent imo. I love everything about this game, the new characters, the endings are hilarious... (my fav. is Kuma's) I could go on all day. Though i'd trade every extra in Tekken 5 just for a new version of Tekken Bowl ;D i definately think this is the game that's gonna make me get buy a ps2 agian. ....Asuka Rules!  |

Been playing a lot with Feng, hits hard and i like to use Lee sometimes, his voice reminds me of an anime character

I only played the arcade version once so it's hard for me to say, but I think they probably did downgrade it a little to make it run properly on the PS2. I can't remember the name of the system it runs on in the arcade, but I do know that it is basically upgraded PS2 hardware, so they've probably lowered the detail here and there, but unless you play in the arcade constantly it's probably hard to notice too much. Goemon: funnily enough I was talking about Tekken Bowl with someone the other day, I really wish that was back in there because it is still one of the bets mini games Namco has ever put into a Tekken game. Using Jack on Tekken Bowl was the best ;D Daaren: not yet - I got the software again and ripped a few tracks from DMC3, but I'll try Tekken 5 later... I'm sure I'll be able to. Kaz |

I was just messing around with the extra costumes for the first time and found that Law has a chauffer hat and mask... Kato anyone? ;D
I just tried ripping music from the disc, but there's no AFS files on there, so the usual program can't rip anything. There must be another way though, but AFS Explorer is the only program I've ever really used.

Kato Law is cool but i was expecting the return of the yellow jump suit. Either their is something very wrong with me or Tekken 5 is just amazingly addicting to a sick degree. I've spent atleast 5 hours in a row playing it each night for the last 4 nights and i'm still not even a little bored of it.... And i still suck at it  |

So far the Paul and Xiaoyu are the CPU controller characters that piss me off the most. So far ive reached 4th dan with about everybody except Kazuya i'm on master. I think Kazuya and Asuka are my two best atm.
