Was in London yesterday and today to see Killswitch Engage again, and had a wander down Oxford Street. Popped into one of the arcades down there and was surprised to find a Tekken 5 cab! I didn't have much time so I only dropped one credit into it (played as Mr. Mishima of course ), but from what I played of it, it seems great! I can't really comment too much on the gameplay, but the graphics looked really sweet that's for sure. I'm still hoping that they get a Tekken 5 cab here in Leicester soon (doubtful) cos I don't really want to go all the way back to London just to play it again . Roll on the PS2 port that's all I can say! One other thing... the Tekken 5 cab had one of those card readers on it, where you can buy a card and use it to store your data each time you play. I'm unlikely to go back down there again, but I bought one just for the hell of it cos they look cool . Had a blast on Initial D version 3 as well, that also had the card readers. Arcades in this country pretty much suck ass, so I was surprised to see these on the cabs really. Kaz

I've played it a little myself recently. The gameplay is pretty bad in that a match will end with one blow plus walls are even worse then they were in 4.

Well, I didn't play that far myself, from what I saw of it it seemed cool. I guess only an extended playtest will show whether I'll really like it personally. Being the Tekken fanatic I am though, I probably will love it... heh. For anyone interested, GREAT wallpapers of pretty much every character here: www.tekken-official.jp/download/Kaz

Some of the good cabs I've found are a 4-slot MVS, Tekken 4, Soul Caliber 2, and that's about it. EDIT: One more thing. A pizza place I usually go to once had a 4-slot MVS has well, but they replaced it with Martial Champion, which is a suck ass SF2 clone.

I'll probably get PS2 T5 as well, though I haven't really liked a Tekken since T2!

TEKKEN NEEDS KUNIMITSU
I'm boycotting Tekken until they get Kunimitsu back.

Fuk yeah! Glad you got to play it dude, i can't wait. Thanks for the link with the wallpapers also. Btw, did the game feel more like Tekken 4 or Tekken 3/Tag? From the clips i've seen it looks like the gameplay is back to the old school Tekken 3/Tag quickness

From the clips i've seen it looks like the gameplay is back to the old school Tekken 3/Tag quickness It did seem a bit more like 3/Tag, and to be honest although Raiken was talking about walls and stuff, I didn't notice any (but I did only play a few stages). After that one credit I'm itching to play it again, but there aren't any damn arcades around here that have it, and I'm not going all the way back to London just to play ;D. Roll on March for the PS2 version is all I can say! Kaz

Man, i go to Oxford street, should of told me. XD
As for gameplay, I hate the floaters, where you hit them and they float up in the sky.
Do they still have that in this?

And just everyone knew... www.tekken-official.jp/tekken5/character/heihachi.htmlBio: "The explosion could have killed anyone, but Heihachi is not anyone so he didn't die. A month later, he hears the Mishima foundation is under the control of someone else, and it really, really pisses him off. "I won't let the foundation to anyone". He is so angry he recovers from his wounds in no time and is now ready to join the tournament." lol... Anyways though it's kinda silly what they did i'm happy he's in it, if not i would have been pissed.
