I pick beat em ups too, but in truth I'll literally play ANYTHING providing it is fun. The only games I don't tend to play much anymore (I used to) are real time strategy games... like Command & Conquer etc. I don't hate them, but they don't really do anything for me anymore. I would kinda like to get back into playing "God" games again though... I kinda feel like playing some Settlers again, that game was cool ;D

I had to go with Racing games ,mostly beacuse they have gotten probably 85% my gaming time over the last few years. I still cant get enough of Moble 1 Rally on the PC ... awesome game amd I anciously await Granturismo 4. But in reality I think this question is impossible to really be definitive on, since I love shooters like R-Type { definitly some of the best shooters ever } and beat'em up's like Streets of Rage and Final Fight {both games are pure gold } and tend to spend periods of time when they are all I play. I play alot of overhead three quarter blast fests like the Strike series { Desert Strike etc } and Future Cop ,Tiny Tank and a 3DO game that escapes me at the moment...Star Fighter I think ? That game has some of the best music I have ever heard in any game ;D Blowing stuff up never gets old Lol man Im rambling ...maybe I should start a Blog.. Then I could be like most people with Blogs that noone reads ;D I tend to stick to one genre until I burnout on it { time varies alot here }, then I move to something else for a bit, sadly I find that the majority of the current console games are flat out boaring no matter what the Genre

Yeah I agree that it's hard to give a definitive answer, especially as most of us in the human race are fickle creatures and change our minds so often . I must say that beat 'em ups have always been one of the main genres I have played though (although I'm still crap compared to many people out there ). I kinda wish there was an option on proboards for people to have their own blogs... then again it could get really out of hand, so I guess it will never happen. Shame we can't switch to the same sort of system that redvsblue.com uses now, with intergrated forum accounts and blogs etc etc, as that is pretty darn cool. Kaz

My 2nd pic would probably be tactics. Old school stuff like Metal Marines was a great war game with attacks in real time.

beat-em-ups are always #1 on my must-play-games-on-my-spare-time, but i'll pretty much play anything that fun. it depends on how much time i have at hand. beat-em-ups, RPGs and tactics game on long, rainy days, fps, shumps, beat-em-ups, and racing games if i have friends around, and lastly, beat-em-ups and puzzle games before leaving for school/work

Ever bought? That´s pretty new i think.Considering the classics,Thunderforce 3 ain´t that old. Unless........OmFGWtFH....you stole the games from the shops before you started buying them. OMG By teh way:first game i ever bought was the old pong console that came with those corny turnwheel sticks to move the bar to hit the ball back.
