Tekken may not be the most balanced or skillful, but it's more fun than most. And to me, DOA is also a button mashers delight, so.... Kaz

So i played Killer Instinct for the first time in a few years yesterday and it did suck pretty bad.
DOA is certianly not the worst fighter ever but it's definately the most overated fighter ever imo.

Rise of the Robots... each time I get that one out of my head, someone has to remind me . When the best thing a game has going for it is a very cool piece of intro music by Brian May and some nice (for its time) FMV, then it must be very bad indeed. That one counts as most overhyped of all time if you ask me Kaz

Worst ones I've ever played: 1. Rise of the Robots 2. Fatal Fury (the first game) 3. Double Dragon 5: The Shadow Falls 4. Fighting Masters 1. I hate Rise of the Robots because there is not one good thing about it. Hell, not even the cutscenes were that great! Plus, it takes a helluva lot of button presses to pull off ONE measly punch or kick. The characters were nondescript, pasted against shallow, gray backgrounds. Ick. Just not worth my time..... 2. I know a lotta SNK fanboys will jump on me for this, but the first Fatal Fury sucked ass. The character designs, the art, the gameplay...... The gameplay was very stiff, with terribly unresponsive controls (I've been playing fighters since I was 2, and I STILL have yet to pull off a Hurricane Upper in FF1), and the difficulty is very cheap, even for that time (Case in point, Billy, Geese, and Hwa Jai). At least, they were cheap until you figured out their ridiculously easy patterns. Like Billy would do that move where he throws his pole, and is invincible for a short while. Then, if you got close, he would smack you away. So you HAD to keep using projectiles or you would get nowhere..... And all Geese would do is throw Reppukens at you....sheesh... But at least SNK made up for that POS when FFS came out 3. Double Dragon 5: The Shadow Falls sucks almost as bad as RotR. I....really don't think I need to explain why this game sucks, so I won't.... Just remember never to buy it...... 4. If a game has an almost entirely alien cast, and has a big blue blob with man-boobs named Rotundo, and is called Fighting Masters, then you are playing this POC. All the monsters only have ONE or two moves apiece (I mean that literally) and have choppy, one-dimensional graphics. The music is almost nonexistent, and the sound effects are freaking ripped straight from Atari 2600....

Well, I should have explained why I hated the game so much. It was becuase Fatal Fury 2/Samurai Shodown got me into SNK, then I regressed to playing FF1 and......did NOT like it.....

Well....both comparisings are kinda not correct. Samurai Shodown plays very diferent then Fatal fury..the different type of slashbutton(weak, medium, heavy) you use does make a difference if you hit miss..the delay on the heavy one is huge for instance.< Samurai shodown is more of a thinking man´s fighter...very tactical. As for Soul calibur vs Virtua fighter. Well..virtua fighter is more of a realistic fighter rather then more of a buttonmash...Not saying Soul Calibur is a buttonmasher but if someone that doesn´t play games, takes one round of soul calibur,he can even win by mashing the buttons.
