About the Shaq Fu thing, I remember years ago a friend of mine had it and he really liked it, so we all ended up playing against him a lot even though none of us liked it much at all. That was fun in a Legend of Success Joe "OMG this is aweful" kind of way... so in the end I have played it far more than SF3. I admit that I can understand (kind of) why people like the game and rate it so highly, but for me personally it is just so......... "blah". My reasons? Although I like some of the new characters, for the most part they are stupid. Gill? Urien? Q? Ewww, ewww and eww! It just feels like they made characters purely to show off how great the animation is, instead of ones that were actually good. The techno style music is horrible too, and I can honestly say I don't rate it much higher than KOF 2001's music. Street Fighter rap? Oh please! A remix of the James Bond music on Yangs stage? Nasty. And then the gameplay... I just don't like it for some reason... to me it just doesn't feel right at all and every time I play it, it just makes me long for SSF2 again, so I always end up putting that on after about 30 mins of playing SF3. Anyways, I know the game is DEFINITELY not as bad as I make out and I do understand why people like it, it's just for my own personal tastes it is completely soul-less and about as much fun as sliding down a razor blade using your nuts as brakes . And I am a Street Fighter fan, so it is weird that I don't like it... Kaz

Hehe, i gotta agree about that soo much, i hated the techno and rap type stuff in CvS2 and Especially SF3. Funny thing is i can't really even judge SF3 properly cause i've only played it chankast at 30-40 fps ;D but it seemed like SF2 with some more moves so thats why i kinda liked it.

I LOVED CVS2's "ibiza-dance-techno" music.. it fits the game's setting (in some) and the whole feel of the "millionaire tournament"... but i wished they included remixed music of original themes from the respective games. . .
as for me... i will say, its got to be "Deadly Moves" for the sega megadrive.... its SUCH A SF2 Ripp off, and there is a separate button for jumps... that just isnt right.. and yeah, its plays like shit. . .

I think Capcoms composers all died after completing work on Darkstalkers 3... it just seems after that time (more or less) they changed their musical style totally and started doing stuff like MVC2's music etc etc. Capcom used to have some of the best musicians in the world next to SNK/Noise/Konami, but not anymore imho. For the record though, I kinda like CVS and CVS2's music... I wouldn't usually like that type of music in a game but for some reason I find it strangely addictive Kaz

Seperate button for jumps really is lame in the extreme ;D
I agree about putting remixed music in the vs games... at least Capcom did that with their characters in Xmen Vs SF etc, and they did do it half-heartedly in CVS1... but then in CVS2 they ditched the idea totally. Oh and SNK did it for SVC on the NGPC, which was great. I just can't understand why they didn't do it in Chaos or CVS2 though, I'm sure the majority of fans would rather have it that way... I know I would anyway.

ditto 'ere what capcom should do now is "wankify" their soundtracks with great-sounding rock tunes just like GGX. that should be THE standard for recent fighting games i think ITS NOT FAIR if recnt fighitng games have rock music... i Too enjoy rock music, its also my fave genre of music.. but the music should be fitting on the game itself.. take Guilty Gear X and CVS2 for example. . . Guilty Gear - has Cyberpunk, futuristic, "metallic", twsited mood - dark and sad, Rock fits perfectly CVS2 - a LARGE concert type, over publicized world tournament (one big martial arts disco tourney) - a FUN event, why use emotive guitar tunes? see? just becuz we ALL want hardhittin' pumping metal tunes, doesnt mean it will fit certain fighitng games. . . it would just be sooo wrong to hear Jrock tunes on PowerStone. . . get my point? regarding capcom's music in games... all ahve a "techno-ish" feel, th egameplay is fast, but too fast for rock, so, its JUST right that the VS. series ahve "techno" themes. . . and the samsho games... its set in feudal japan. . . so, the music is "OLD", and i know galford's theme is "rock" persay, but it still has a dominant japanese sound that makes its sound like a song reminicent of the timeline... same goes with ninja masters. . . BUT of corz, there are tragedies that are left forgotten . . (2001 anyone?) my 2cents

Sometimes it's fun to just bust out with some completely ignorant comment like that though ;D I certianly don't listen to the type of music that's considered "pop" where i live. I'm probably the biggest outcast when it comes to music outta anyone that i know.
