Don't you regret having sold your Mega Drive and all of its great games? Sega must be aware of this, because at the Tokyo Toy show 2004, they showed off the Mega Drive PlayTV. It's a small console, imitating the original look of the Mega Drive/Genesis. It comes with six of the most popular 16 bit games and connects directly to the TV. The controller of the unit shows a shiny 16 BIT POWER logo and looks awesome if you ask me. The six built-in games are Sonic the Hedgehog, King of Monster, Golden Axe, Puyo Puyo, Kid Chameleon and Flicky. I don't know about some of these titles. I think games like Streets of Rage 2 and Super Monaco GP 2 would have fitted better in the package, but it's already worthwhile as it is.

Well of course. But there are always those people who... 1. buy stuff because of the packaging 2. buy stuff because its new 3. buy stuff because its small 4. buy stuff because its "kawaii" Just like it would have been easier and much cheaper to buy a PSX instead of the little PS1, yet there are always people who buy the crap.

I have 3 genesis systems ;D(model 1, model 2, and a nomad). I agree those aren't the best games for the package but they seem ok. Sonic the hedgehog and kid chameleon were the first two video games I ever owned.

It surely is going to be a collector's item. The Sega Smash Pack on Dreamcast already offers a lot more as it is, but you know how it goes with nostalgic collectioners.

It connects directly to the tv, has the six games already installed, and Genesis or Mega Drive cartridges cannot be used.

I like the nomad. It was incredibly friggin sharp ;D But yeah it was pixilated at times because of that and it cost too damn much.
