for some reason i can pull off 360 degree motions on a typical dpad but... ...shouldn't this be in the non-neo related discussion?

I play King Of Fighters much better on a keyboard than a controller ... maybe it's caused I'm sooo used to a keyboard. ;D I can pull of moves quicker N more accurately aswell ... the only problem with Keyboard is it's kinda hard 2 pull 360 degree's moves ... such as zangiefs final atomic buster ... But then that's y u hav a PlayStation 2 controller ... which is perfect for thos kinds of moves

for which format? If you mean PC...
PC - Get a dreamcast USB converter for your pc (really cheap) use a DC Stick
or if you dont like sticks - Get a ps2 converter and wait for the street fighter controller to come out (www.streetfightercontroller.com)
Edit - Whats this gotta do with Neo Geo??? Wrong forum m8

If you really wanna splash out big then I personally think X-Arcade sticks are nice, plus you can buy the adaptors that let you use them on almost any other system, which is mighty cool. Depends on what you wanna spend though Nice nickname! Kaz

Having been on an arcade stick quest myself awhile ago, I can say that the Soul Calibur 2 arcade stick for ps2 is widely recognised as the best there is in many forums. Of course that's mainly for 3D fighters. For 2D like SFA3 I'd say the Capcom vs Snk arcade stick is also recommended because the stick itself is nested in an octagonal slot: that makes it easier to pull off 360° rotations.

The Hori Real Arcade is the newest Hori and uses Real Arcade Parts. From early reviews it is said to be the best Jap style stick money can buy. I heard on Shoryuken it works great with 2d
