i personaly like psp coz its almost equal to ps2 as supreme lord said and also the upcoming games in psp like metal gear:acid (wat if snkp will make KOF:MI in psp). hmmm i think the problem in psp is that it could have loading times since it is in UMD disk format. that could probably waste our gaming exp. games in DS are kinda for kids thats y i recommend it for youngsters.

Nintendo DS. Nintendo makes the only portable systems I really get into plus they usually make them playable on the tv after awhile.

I have to admit that after watching E3 footage I changed my mind towards the DS, but I will still go for the psp first. It's by far the superior portable of the two and I'm not too sure about the touch screen on the DS. First I want to see how long these touch screens last under some of the intense stylus action.

I go for PSP, but I buy a lot of portables so I'll get a DS as well at some point. I'm not skipping the GBA at all though Kaz

I personally think the ds will be a better handheld. There is a reason why the gameboy is the best handheld available, the games. I like that the ds is able to play gba games. I am looking foward to a new mario kart and zelda game. Being old school I preferably like 2d over 3d. Some really great games have come out the gba such as castlevania aria of sorrow, golden sun, metroid zero mission, fire emblem and those are just a few. yeah I like sony to but i love my gba. And yes I will be the first one to say it, what about emulation. Since the ds is backwards compatible more than likely you will be able to use your existing flash linker or the ds will be emulated since the gba was so easily emulated, not that I condone that type of thing hehe. I personally support nintendo and buy authentic games. Knowing me I problably own both or convince the wifey its a worthy investment to intsall a tv in my car for the kids so I can put a modded xbox in the car. Now that really portable. Either way it will probably be early 2006 before we any of them anyway.

Quote from E3 2004: "With the newly developed graphics engine, DS can reproduce impressive 3-D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo® 64. Games will run at 60 frames per second, and allow details like fog effects and cel shading" But of course the PSP is more powerfull. The DS also uses compact cards that has semiconductor memory, this is suppose to be cheaper than old style cartriges. But I still got a feeling that the games will cost the same as GBA games. The DS games will be using the compact cards, but they will still have a cartrige slot so that you can play GBA games on it too.
