"There aren't stupid polls. There are only stupid people..." ;D Yeah. Doa3. The reason.....Haven't played the others that much. And of course, the graphics are way better.

I think T4 is OK, but I can't get into it properly. DOA3 is also OK, but I think it is a bit too much of a button-mash fest. VF4 all the way, baby!

DOA3 is also OK, but I think it is a bit too much of a button-mash fest. Not really...if you can predict your opponent's next move, you can actually counter it, provided that you are standing on the ground, not being juggled.

Not really...if you can predict your opponent's next move, you can actually counter it, provided that you are standing on the ground, not being juggled. I never quite got the hang of that since it's a split-second choice between high, medium or low counter. Especially the sometimes subtle difference between a high and medium punch/kick makes it hard to predict the counter you should go for.

Most people don't have the dedication to learn a fighting game properly. For them it just boils down to predictable patterns, or worse, mashing. Mashing is especially bad, as most players think there's nothing to it and don't bother learning the game in depth. It's like that with Soul Calibur, and the same can be said of DOA3. I tired of both very quickly as a consequence of little competition from people who couldn't be bothered to learn further. And yes, I counter the f*** out of them because they are predictable. Failing that I use the basics I learned playing VF, SC or Tekken. Everyone thinks I am a fighting game god because I actually employ tactics instead of mashing. Nope, sorry, DOA3 is not for me.
