The Nokia N-Gage didn't exactly get a warm welcome in the gaming community for various reasons. In an attempt to restore some of the lost credibility, Nokia is releasing a new version of the N-Gage: the N-Gage QD. The mp3 player, radio and usb connectivity have been trimmed off. The Nokia N-Gage QD is no longer profiled as a multimedia machine like its predecessor, but instead focuses on gaming. You'll still be able to use it as a cellphone too, but without triband functionality. A couple of the most interesting improvements: -hot swapping: no more opening up the N-Gage and removing the battery before you can insert a new cartridge -bigger screen with 65000 colors instead of 4096 previously -(supposedly) longer battery life -better design: the N-Gage QD is one fifth smaller than its predecessor Operating system still is the Nokia-derivative of Symbian, and Bluetooth still allows you to communicate with other players. This part cracked me up: So they must have seen that sidetalkin site and realised that people don't like to look retarded when they use their mobile phone then?  I doubt I'd buy one... I was impressed with some of the games when I played it at ECTS, but it isn't for me. I'll stick with the GBA and NGPC for now, and probably grab a PSP when it eventually comes out... although I'm still not *100%* convinced on that one yet. Kaz |

The display still is too vertically oriented to my liking, so I'm going to hold my breath for the PSP too.
I also hate multiple functionality, like the combination of cellphone and portable gaming system. It's either the one or the other, as combinations never seem to give you the best from the two worlds. The N-Gage is a typical example of this.
In other words: I have a separate mp3 player, a separate cellphone, a separate camera etc...

still crap ... like previously mentioned, "Nokia does not belong in the gaming industries." Nokia and all other cell phone companies should only make phones and communication stuff NOT GAMING MATERIAL! a word 4 the better  |

gba is shit and crap mixed together ... and waallaa u have the GBA ;D it's a known fact that the PSP is gona dominate the whole hand-held gaming world ... damn my brother is pissing me off  he is playin Final Fantasy X and he won't let me play ... he says study(mimicing voice) and i am sure studying yaa rite ... hehehe ;D |
