After a long time, there´s an update on the Crimson tears game. Still wonder when the hell it´s coming out. Go over to the magicbox for details. www.the-magicbox.com/Jan04/game011204b.shtmlThe new screens and effects look really cool.

Alright, i've bumped this thread up since Crimson Tears is out in Japan. And guess what, i've imported it, got a special DVD with it too with 10 CG movies. Crimson Tears is a new cell-shaded, anime-type beat em' up/RPG game from Dream Factory and Capcom. I'm surprised Squarenix didn't work on it, because Squarenix (Squaresoft) used to cooperate with Dream Factory (Ehrgeiz, Tobal, The Bouncer) The fighting system is rather simple, you've got 2 physical attack buttons, 1 super attack (with all flashy whirlwind kicks and slow motion camera) button, a block button, a dodge button, and a special weapon button. (mostly you use those for guns). It plays like The Bouncer, but less sluggish, faster. You can get new combo's and attacks by earning exp points with beating enemy's up. You also earn some money so you can get potions, weapons and stuff. There are 3 playable characters, each with their own personalities/specialties. Asuka (The girl with the brown hair) is an all-round character. Fights fast and specialized in 2 handed weapons. Kaede (The blond girl) is sluggish, but she can handle powerfull large weapons, and has a tough fighting style. Last one is Tokio, a pretty large man, but he's an all-round character, fast and powerful. It has also many adventure elements, but also alot of fighting. Dungeon-type fighting, going through more areas and more areas (I'd like to call it dungeons) Full of enemies. It's a pretty fun game, and the graphics are top notch, but it can be too hard at times (especially the bosses, who are just TOO hard after 50% life depleted. ) and the game can become annoying at the boss battles. I'd give it a 7.5/10, for the fighting and RPG elements. It's a very cool game. But when the game gets hard, it gets TOO hard. But if you're a fan of beat em' up games, you should try it ...when it comes out in the US/Europe. Official site : www.crim.jp/

Hmmm, it depends. If you like beat em' ups with some RPG in it, go and wait for Crimson Tears. But it isn't like DMC, where you go guns a blazin, even tho you can carry 2 guns with you but I hoped they did more on that. (The character really shoots dull, but he can aim at two enemies at once) And it isn't like FFX. Just the fact you gotta buy potions, weapons, and earn moves.
