koei.com/SamuraiWarriors/character.htmDon't know about yall but i've always been a huge dynasty warriors fan and i think its the best and most fun multiplayer beat em' up series for the next gen consoles. I'm glad to see koei decided to take a break from the many sequels of chinese historicaly based DW that they've put out and delve into japans past with their upcoming title. The character designs are looking quite good imo, if you check out the link you'll notice the familiar name of the cool looking ninja character and the big side burns cannon totin goemon, certainly not as cool imo as the ninja masters character ;D I'm hoping this game will be as fun to blast through as the great DW games of the past. Goemons cannon in full 3d glory

Set in feudal Japan, the game will let players assume the role of several different legendary warriors, including the ninja Hanzo Hattori and the samurai Sanada Yukimura. Players will have a number of traditional Japanese weapons at their disposal in this hack-and-slash game, including katana swords and shuriken (throwing stars). The game's array of historic battlefields will include Okehazama, Kawanakajima, and the walls of Osaka Castle. Samurai Warriors is scheduled to be released this May for the PlayStation 2http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/launchnews.asp?newsid=137195 there are some cool game play pictures here

I have the import and although I have only played a few stages of it, as a huge fan of the series I have to say it kicks royal ass. Only thing that surprised me was that the style of the music was different, but other than that it is great so far.

Not actually sure when it comes ot the US... but when it does I sure hope they give you the option of both subtitles *and* dubbing, unlike some of the other previous games.
