Which, in your opinion is the best Metal Slug game? I´m getting the fourth one now and so far i think that MS: X is the best one and MS 3 the worst.

MS1 = Great fun, but a little tactic with the tank/grenade makes the game unbalanced and will help even a lamer like me finish the game no problem  MS2 = Awesome sequel, but slowdown hurts it bad. MSX = MS2 but with modified levels and most of the slowdown fixed up... EXCELLENT game! MS3 = I know you say you don't like it, but this game is awesome. Multiple paths, great and funny animation, loads of slugs to use, and overall just GREAT. The only thing that hurts it a little in my eyes are the amount of silly creatures (crabs etc) on some levels... I prefer the humans/aliens. Zombies rock though!  MS4 = If you didnt like MS3, prepare to hate MS4. It's not a terrible game, but very unimaginitive and a bit boring really. There's more human enemies (as opposed to aliens etc) in this game than in MS3, so in a way it is more like the original Slug game. The best part of the game though is the music... it's done by Noise Factory, and we all know how great their composers are. It's different to the other Slug soundtracks, but very good all the same. That Game is better than the other Parts together. I just can´t understand why MSlug4 was such a Pest!

MS3 definitly is tops. MS4 wasn't all that bad really it just didn't introduce a lot of new concepts. Hopefully this will happen in MS5.

I think People think of MSlug4 as being bad, because MS3 was that good and it was hard to make a Sequel that could even compare with it. And that´s what MS4 couldnt do!

Yep.....*stands behind the big MS 3 line* 3 is also my fav one. The first time i saw the bloodbarf you can do.....Man,i almost pissed my pants laughing.Plus the multiple paths...great stuff there.Especially cos the different paths lead you to other characters that aren't seen in the regular paths..... And the last stages....the vertical upward shoot em up bit and the final red alert stage with the alarm going off.......chilrs running down my spine,man.  MS4 wasn't that bad.I liked the music a lot in it. But it just had that empty feeling......kinda as if they just made a couple of new stages to run around in and no storyline to attach it to.....  |

listen this a stupid question.i dont know about mslug 5 because i havent played that yet.mslug3 is the best for multiple paths funny deaths etc.what did mslug 3 have that mslug 4 hasnt got?everything but more.

definately MSX...with MS1 and then MS3 next in line. I just kinda liked the idea of shooting humans more than crabs personally. but three was definately worth it nonetheless.

i understand the story a bit.if mslug 3 was to have humans instead of crabs and have multipaths it would get 10/10ratings for sure.

I really loved Shock troopers 2(one was also very cool) The music kicked ass in ST2.i love that upbeat soundtrack. A part 3 would be a very welcomed title,yes. |

A new Shock Troopers would be great, although I have to say I did prefer the first Shock Troopers to ST2. ST2 is still a great game though.
