News has laready been made of the X box port of SNK vs Capcom that is going to be released this year and is online competible. Also the popular Guilty Gear XX Reloaded will be released this April for the X Box. It will also be online playable and will also have the voice option for that extra yelling when you mash some faces in. Source: game5.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/ghard/1074614163/26

Yeah, i know he posted it for the snk vs capcom port, but i get a feeling we´ll be seeing a whole lot more 2D games coming the x-box way. I can´t wait to see the visuals of Guilty gear on the X box. Now if they would bring out Dolphin Blue and the Rumble Fish on the X.....oh my.

Agreed, atleast with GG coming out for the system it gives me some hope that we'll one day see games like Dolphin Blue & Rumble Fish. Even better then that though the possible snk games made by sammy... i can only hope

yeah right, Guilty Gear XX #reload "EC" edition (Easily cheap) well, im happy with my ggxx#r on atomiswav ;D (omg, we havent paid for it fully yet, still on loan! ) but seriosly, the xbox is NOT a good place for 2D games, in this 3D ridden console, it might not attract casual/nextgen gamers, and teh Box aint doin well in japan also, i i expect little change will occur

Also the Xbox pad is horrid for fighters... so you really need to either get a pad convertor (for PS2 pads if you like them) or preferably buy some decent arcade sticks.
Anyways, this is good news for Xbox owners! I can't really see the games looking that much better than the PS2 versions though - GG already looks damn good on that, despite what some people might say about the PS2's 2D capabilities.

Nah, the X-box itself is not the problem. It's just the official pads. Some thirth party ones are good though.

I'm not a fan of the Xbox pads but they surely aren't horrible for fighters imo. Though ill use just about any controller without complaining but im not a fan of 3rd party controllers with the exception of the ones with the fans to cool teh palms off ;D

Agreed on the controllers of xbox not being suited for fighters. Since the buttons on the standard pad are oval shaped towards the top, it's easy to mess up on simultaneous button pressing. The controller s improves on this but I still don't like the positioning of the (small) buttons.

I tried CVS2 on the Xbox and found it hard to pull out aany supers at all with the standard pad. As soon as I plugged in my PS2 pad adaptor I was fine, but overall the best way to play is with arcade sticks! Kaz

I think i broke my thumb trying to do a Dragon punch in practice mode. Any good suggestions on what pad to get anyone? I don't want "teh stick" but just a pad.

lol, you guys had difficulties too in pulling off the supers on xbox? They have to be entered flippin' fast. weak punch, weak punch, forward, weak kick, strong punch, a fairly easy super became a royal pain to execute. forward and strong punch have to be entered almost simultaneously on the xbox controller

I saw a wildcat joypad for the x-box in the shops. It had the same fourdirection pad as the ps2 has, hope the reaction is also the same and not a la original x-pads. i think i'll waste some cash on that pad.Let's try it.

^ Admit that the only reason why you're going to buy that pad is because it makes you think of kinky women
