Finally...Neo Contra on it's way...from Konami!!!!

ok,ok...so i might sell my other left arm also for a ps2 now.
Rejoice oldskool gamers, for a new Contra is coming our way.

Konami have put info out on another upcoming title, Neo Contra. This is next installment in the long running Contra series, and sticks to the same run-n-gun formula, but this time, in a 3-D setting. The game stars series mainstay, Bill Rizer, and a newcomer, Genbei Jaguer Yagyu, who's a.....wait for it.......Samurai! The only information known regarding the release is a 2004 U.S. release date. Sorry, but more information as it comes.

Hehe, thats true seiryu. About Neo Contra, as much as i want to be excited concidering i loved most the contra series, the last addition i played on ps2 had horrible gameplay imo & hopefully Konami steped it up a notch or i would be very dissapointed. This addition sure looks good but if id sure be weary on buying it, though i don't have a ps2 right now anyways so it doesn't really matter ;D

I love the contra's on nes & sega but didn't like the snes & playstation ones for various reasons.

Super contra on the supernes has one of the best soundtracks ever on the supernes.
It´s one of the few games that gives me the same adrenalinerush that Metal Slug gives me.

This looks cool - I wonder if it will have the same super hard gameplay as the 1st one on the PS2? (which I enjoyed actually)

Snes Contra (or Probotector here in the UK) is the best one

There's a trailer up on the konami site.
It shows a bit more in-game action only..it's all thirth person view.
Maybe it's just this part that has it and there will be also side scrolling parts in the game.
Guess we'll have to wait and find out when more ingame footage is available.

Did you ever finish it? Damn it's a most difficult contra game yet..... besides the GBA version.
