*steps outside of his house* (sniff,sniff)..what's that smell. *checks his mailbox outside his home* What the..... ;D ;D ;D But anyways,So far all we know is that KOF 2003 is planned to be released December 2003.But like Kaz said, this is not yet acknowledged by SNK Playmore themselves. Oh and for me the Orochi saga is still the best one...especialy 97,where we finally saw Orochi.

No idea, but Jhun needs to come back for sure. Shingo and King made it into the DC port of KOF 2002 though.

Don't know about Orochi Iori but Orochi Leona was in 2k2 if you switched to that mode with Leona (can't remember how to do it though).

They shouldn´t concentrate so much on the story with the KOF series. I think it messes up the line ups and the additions of new characters. They really should keep the story simple and focus on what we do and want to get from the game. A good fight in a team vs team tournament. They should just keep a small story focused on the charecters fighting profile and maybe some relation between some of them that come from the same background....but not go and make it into some sort of actionflik theme. We all know what we´re coming for. The annual competition that´s called King of fighters. And with that we are pleased enough and go for that clash we all love to have at home or in the arcades. Just an annual competition with a decent line up of new chalangers and returning more developed, more maturing fighters...that´s all i ask for. Seiryu

Yes, that´s true, although I´ve been impressed with the new things in ´99, I think it was the best KoF, since Playmore/Eolith´s Overtake!!! Btw. Why doesn´t Playmore try to get some of the old Snk Staff?? For Example, those who were making the Musics!

Why doesn´t Playmore try to get some of the old Snk Staff?? For Example, those who were making the Musics! The Playmore/Eolith takeover was way after '99... 2000 was the last KoF made by the old SNK, Eolith have only done 2001 and 2002. A lot of old SNK staff moved on, but some stayed. For example, the guy responsible for a lot of SNK artwork "back in the day" (I keep forgetting his name, I *think* it was Morita) is now working for Capcom. Look at the covers for Dino Stalker on PS2 or Final Fight One for the GBA... you will notice a VERY similar art style. If you look at the credits for KOF 2002, you will see the name "Tate Norio" listed under music credits. He was one of the old staff (he composed "Arashi no Saxaphone" among others). His name being listed in the credits means one of two things: 1. They re-hired him and got him to work on KOF 2002. He certainly didn't work on KOF 2001, that's for sure 2. They had some old music that he composed lying around, which they used and then had to credit him. Although we've heard that "some of the old staff" are still there, I'd be interested to know exactly how many really are there, and what games they are working on. Also, how close to completion were games like SvC/SS0, and how much work did Playmore do to finish them off? Kaz

Why? That guy was the best imho... the only prob with his stuff is sometimes some of the characters looked a bit "samey" with regards to their face, but he's still very talented if you ask me.
Tonko and the others are great too though, and Nona's actually starting to pump out some really great stuff too.
