if i find roms for dreamcast games, how do i/ what do i need in order to play them on my dreamcast?

First off... you only use roms to play arcade or cartridge games, for dc you would be using iso's. (disk images of the dc games) There is currently no emulator that runs dc games well enough to be worth a try. The only thing i could suggest with the dc iso's you have (if they're under 300 megs they're probly fake anways) is install a mod chip, (this enables burned/bootleg games to be played) burn all you iso's to cd's and play away.

Heck even if you don't have a dreamcast you can probably buy one dirt cheap. I got mine for $75 bucks a few years ago. Some of the first dreamcast emulators were scams anyway.

Actually you wouldn't need a modchip either really, unless you happen to get one of the newer models of DC's that won't boot copied games. If you have some of hte older rips then you'll need to find a boot disc, but if you have the newer rips that came out then they are self boot, meaning you just put the disc in and that's it... no mod required. Goemon and Raiken are right, DC's are dirt cheap these days and the majority of older DC games are dirt cheap too, so you should probably just buy them  Kaz |

Now Throwen is right too!!! Buy one, man! The DC is cheap and it´s definetly worth a few Bucks!! Man, some of the best Games are played best on it. So please do yourself a Favor and get one! ;D  |

Funny to me how SF3 is the only game for the DC that i don't have but would love to own. Its just like suikoden 1 + 2 for the ps1, its like a "classic" hard to get game so people sell the used version for over $50 dollars on ebay. I always assumed that a mod chip was needed to play burned games, hate to say it but looks like now i might be dling the SF3 iso |
