Basically, I'd just like to mention something about ad-banners/popups on the forums. As most of you know, Proboards offer an ad-free service which I have been using, if you pay $6.99 a month. I've paid for this since April and will coninue to do so as much as possible as I really don't want any ads (and especially popups) here *at all*. However, the $6.99 gives you 50,000 ad-free pageviews a month, which sounds like a lot, but it does seem that we might do more than that this month as we have a lot of new posters here (which is good really). We have already done about 6000 this month so far.
I wanted to mention this just in case we *do* surpass 50,000 near the end of the month, as it will mean there will possibly be a few popups/ads for a couple of days until the next month starts. Thankfully they aren't usually to intrusive, but if anybody has any problems with them, please let me know. You can actually pay a bit extra to get more than 50,00 ad-free pageviews, but I don't think it is worth it at the moment unless we start getting WAY more hits.
Anyways - as I said I will continue to pay for ad-free as much as possible and I'm very happy with the way the forum is going right now, but if anyone wants to chip in for ad-free at any point it would be appreciated. I would NEVER ask anyone to do this as I don't think that would be the right thing to do, but it would be cool if anyone would like to help out. If you do, please click the link below that says "make a donation" and you can paypal $6.99. Just FYI this money does not go to me - it goes straight to Proboards themselves, and they automatically add a credit to my account which I can use whenever I want to.
If anyone does want to, please post here before sending anything via Paypal. Thanks in advance!
