^err, actually the music is already Arranged (i think), seeing that the AW could produce greater compressed music, unlike the neo. the music does rock.

^i guess so, cuz NGBC will get the same treatment
but AW has decent sound/music (GGX1.5 has the DC ver. music, not the Naomi "midi files" )..

^well, for "Midi" style, it was impressive, but then again, even the NEO could produced better stuff weird thing though, the DC/NAOMI's "midi-like" sound engine/processor was NEVER used, by any major games, for the DC, it was only used for the Online Karaoke discs,, im not sure if GGX Naomi used it though..OK back to topic... havent played in the last 3 days, RF2 s really spoiling me, and the lack of XI competition doesnt help, and Tkken5 and 3rd Striker gets attention here... im tired of Losing to hardass CPU

Lucky you, living in Florida the only Arcade action we see around here is the local mall goths and Otakus playing DDR. Still from watching a ton of matches this game has caught the eye of many gamers, a few commented the game having "Guilty-Gear Like Smoothness. A lot of the hit sounds remind of Garou style sounds instead of the Generic SVC sounds I've heard in NGBC. The mid-boss Shion also has very fluid animation and has a crazy staff/Chinese kenpo style she can switch from back and forth.
I've heard the difficulty is especially hard, that you need to at least play the boss Magkai a couple of times before you can actually beat him. Man, I want to play this game badly...

Actually people always get confused with the OST/AST thing - what you are hearing now is OST, it's the original soundtrack. Doesn't matter if it sounds the same quality as the "arranged" soundtracks of Neo Geo games, it's still the original music from the game. Both NGBC and KOF XI are getting AST's on the PS2 version of the game. Neither need them really, but it will be interesting to see how they turn out Kaz

More vids here: vulcanus.web.infoseek.co.jp/Click on the kof screenshot halfway down the page then scroll down past all the guilty gear slash vids and there should be 3 kof vids. The third vid has a benimaru that OCV's a team.

www.megaupload.com/?d=CQUJS19KHere's a link that was posted at S-C.com, it's a combo video of Gai. His animation is very fluid and his style seems to include many counter moves. He seems a bit slow compared to some of the more offensive characters like Shen Woo and Vanessa, not to mention his voice does remind me a bit of Joe.

^also worth noting, i think he has a command super (ala Deadly Rave, Psychic 9), cuz you see the pacing is a bit timed and the it has multiple enders. Itwould probably be like NGBC Karate's DM...
i actually get tofight him most fo the time, and i'd say that he's no pushover. His mixups of hi's and low's can be very confusing.. but he's nothing that would be really give you a headache (prepare pain from Shion and Magaki)

It's good to see that SNKP is getting back into the groove of having more difficult bosses for KOF. The game difficult for 2k3 wasn't all that hard. I was wondering, does Gai have any mount attacks?
Edit: Is it just me or does Gai's sprite look as if he's gone steroid crazy?

Possibly slightly steroid crazy Thanks for the link Edge. Gai does look very well animated and I'll be looking forward to trying him when I finally get to play it. Sticks one finger up at buddha again ;D (j/k) Kaz

i think Gai is "meaty" because if he is slimmed down like his striker sprite, many people will mistake( and complain) him for being a mere pallette swap of Joe Higashi. plus, he really is MEATY in Buriki One (he is a bit macho in his 3D models), contrary to MOST of the artwork Hiroaki has done... his animation is tight, typical SNKP (since 2k1's Angel), and yes i think he does have mount attacks, i think... , im still using the Momoko, Ash, Ramon team, but somtimes i dibble with Oswald or Shen. also word is that Kula and Gato are top tiers... on another note, im getting back into some NGBC action... @ Kaz, hehe, don;t worry, you'll have your chance, someday... hehe j/k
