You also need the ST-V Bios to get it to work too; filename, oddly enough, is stvbios.zip. Give it a search.
AND a fast PC is a must, I agree. It runs pretty slow on my PC and it's brand new.
Huh, two of my favorites, now all MAME has to do is emulate PI2: Chottodate Saikyu Retsuden.
Be seeing you.

STV emulated? Does this mean Radiant Silvergun could work?

I know Satourne apparently emulates STV, but I heard it was "switched off" for some of the releases, and no one had Radiant Silvergun working at any rate.

Well... I'm no MAME expert, but I'll try. Are you using just plain MAME or MAME32? I'm using MAME32, and I just refreshed the game list, clicked on the All Games menu item, then back on Available. If it still doesn't work, find it in the All Games list, right click on it, and choose audit. It should say what's missing. You may just have a bad dump of GoF. In response to darkschneider, I've been able to get the ST-V version of RS to boot in MAME, but as yet it's not fully supported. GoF work pretty well (as does Cotton, Cotton and Soukyugurentai), but it's slow even on my brand new PC. As for Satourne, it's SOOOOO slow that I can't even verify that it will work. All I can say is that it tries to boot but I've never been patient enough to wait for it. kumavonmitsurugi, I just want to be realistic-- even if you do get GoF to work, it will likely be very slow. I'm not trying to rain on the parade as it were, but just don't get your hopes up.

BTW, just checked and Satourne v. 1.1 will not run either game we've been discussing correctly. RS hangs on 'start' and GoF has significant display problems.

I think mame32 has a bug where new games won't show unless it thinks you changed the directory where your roms are.
On my mame32k that runs kof 2003 I have to go to directories then I press browse but dont change anything, ok and it fully refreshes the list and hows kof 2003.
Maybe it's the same bug on mame32
