Quote from my review Did you like Waku Waku 7 as much as I did? (i.e. a lot!) Does the thought of an 80 year old granny throwing her false teeth at you as a projectile attack crack you up? Would a guy wearing a full size dog costume beating the living hell out of someone make you laugh? If you answered "yes" to all those questions, then this is the game for you. If stuff like that isn't really your idea of fun, then I suggest you quit reading this review and go play some Real Bout 2 or King of Fighters, as you will most likely detest Matrimelee... Kaz Waku Waku 7 is much more fun AND better I like Matrimelee but it's just not that special to me...

I know this is an old thread but could anyone help. I'm trying to run Matrimelee. Being a Guilty Gear fan, I like my fighters a bit eccentric (understatement) every now and then.
Using kawaks 154 with 'matrim.'. Changed rom names according to the message on the first page of this topic but when I load up the rom, nothing happens. kawaks has also asked for the bin file 266-m1_decrypted.
I know that I cant make requests for roms and you can't givee addresses etc of anything, but if anyone has overcame this problem, a little advice so i can sort this out would be greatly appreiciated.

Oh let me tell you what this game is about!... (Being a huge power instanct fan from the very beging when I play it on holiday in spain oh so many years ago) The Power Instinct series storyline mainly consisted of two elderly(?) sisters called Otane and Oume (yes thats right the O.A.P's are the main characters) who have special powers that enbale them to suck the youth out of people, in the older games they could transfrom into younger versons of themselfs and fight as the younger vairants. Well anyway both sisters (although their are 3 the thrid one kinda got air brushed out after PI2) want to take control of the most powerful clan in japan thus thats what started their fued. In the first trouney Otane won but the Kuroko (those black judges whom look like they are from samurai showdown) was ordered by her sister to throw her in to the sea and every body thought se was dead in till the second game were she returns and kicks both her sisters buts but wait there is more... In the next installment called Groove On Fight (A Sega Saturn exclusive which involed Tag Team like machinics like Capcoms 'cross over' series) which is 20 years after the second game both Otane and Oume are forced to work togther but the lime light and main storyline is pretty much taken away from them by a new character called Solis R8000, a skimpy clad cyborg from the future and a rouge time traveling deamon called Bristol (yes, Bristol as in the famous English town) and the main story revoles around them. As an intresting now in this game there is also another rival to Bristol called Rudolf Gartheimer whom with his partner and servent Damian Shade was the first openly gay couple in any game (or at least fighting game) but this releationship was not to last when Gartheimer loses to the player controled team and Bristol turns up and shots Damian Shade in the head(!?). Another intresting point about this game is when a character is KO'ed they stay on the battlefield and their lifeless bodies can be used as weapons by throwing then at you're enimies. This game also had Super Moves and Tag attacks and all of the moves we very simple to to, everyones desperation move was down, down + Kick and the same but with punches (while tagging) for the tag attacks. If you are more intrested about this game then check out my review for mroe details. In matrimelee the story mainly revoled around the princess character called Princess Sissy whom the winner of the toruney gets her hand in marrage. Some unoffical remakes of the double dragon character are also in this game from the 'rage of dragons' game which got denied the rights to the DD franchise by Atlus whom also made the power instinct series, I think they did not want DD as a 1 on 1 fighter because they were just about to release their Double Dragon Advance game for the GBA and wanted nothing to over shadow it (thats the impression I get anyway). Anyway thats what roughly the series is about and yes Bristol is the baddest of the the bad asses AND HE'S ENGLISH!!! hell he even uses his gun durning fights!!! (as a super speical, very devesating) I recommend people playing all 4 games!

^Groove on Fight is prolly the most unique in the series, a slightly unique gameplay, and interestign characters to boot, the usual PI quirkyness, plus i just love Range Murata's artwork Groove on Fight wa also for the arcades btw (S-TV hardware), and oh, to make Matrimelee work, (in the latest Kawaks/Nebula), just get the MAME set for matrim , it was on mame for quite sometime now, and it's supposedly the proper dump...

Yeah the artwork in the Sega Saturn version is truly awsome I love it. Oh and another reason why I like Bristol so much is because I used to live in the famous town that he was named after! I got the MAME version of Matrimelee and it works fine although I wish they would hurry up and get the S-TV hardware emulated properly so that I can play Groove on Fight and Raidant Silver Gun properly with it slowing down to 10 fps lol.
