Hey all,
Since we've been talking about PSX emulation over in the Samurai Deeper Kyo thread I thought I'd ask after what emulator everyone recommends.
Just curious, since the Saturn emulators I've seen have been pretty crap-- I'm hoping PSX will fare better.

Cool, thanks guys. Now I can indulge my Smaurai Deeper Kyo want.
Like the Saturn emulators, can you play the actual disks or do you have to use those other things that we can't mention around these parts?
Sorry, I'm sure the epsx page will tell me this, but I'm at work and the proxy server keeps me out of naughty things like emulation.

Kai Yeah you can use the actual discs or an image file on your HD if you wish . The only naughty thing you *do* need is the psx bios... Kaz

Excellent. I've got a crapload of old PSX imports sitting around that I thought I'd never play again.
Wow, if it works well, it makes me wonder why Satourne and other Saturn emulators are such crap.
Thanks again everybody. Now I just have to wait to get home to download all this stuff.

Saturn had duel processors, a lot of unique hardware, and a difficult assembly language (so I've heard)
Whereas, one developer for PSX described developing for PSX "as easy as developing for PC"
Which perhaps explains why Saturn died out early, and PSX is still getting games released.

Hey guys, dumb question, but does epsx work with anything other than the CD and ISO images? I've got a... well, something I'd like to try running, and to doesn't seem to be the correct format-- it's a rar that contains a ccd, an img, and a sub file.
Normally I'm not quite this dumb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
