I have been trying to run both Kawakas 1.49 and Mame .82 in full screen. I can run them both in full screen but no matter what settings I tweak I can't get them to look as good as most of the screen shots I have seen. When I run them windowed they look excellent, but as soon as I select full screen of maximize, the images get streched out and blurry. So my question is, is there anyway to play in full screen at high resolution or do you all play in windowed mode?

i play full screen using a 21inch monitor....it looks spot on.....i use 640x480 resolution for neogeo games....you've just got to fiddle around with the video settings to get it to look right.with mame as well if you go it properties of a game it will tell you what resolution the game runs in so you can set it for individual games. hullcityfcmad

Cool, thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to just keep screwing with it until I get it to look right. I'll try setting it according to the roms as you suggested. Thanks again.

Because of the way PC monitors work, most games won't look as good as they do on the real console and on a normal TV though... as hullcity suggested it's best to play around with the various settings you get (scanlines, interpolation, edge enhancement etc etc) and find one that suits you best. One thing I can highly recommend though if you can do it is to get a gfx card with a TV out and run your emus on the TV that way... still not quite as good as the proper system most of the time, but it does look a lot better imho.
