If i can actually run a game above 40 fps without any gfx. errors what a legendary day this will be I do wanna try Third Strike though so if you find a torrent or something Klarkus please hook me up with it.

I got the bios & flash so now i can load up the main menu but it won't read my disc from my cd rom drive and my burner is broken so i can burn it to an iso. Only 6 hours till Rival Schools 2 is done It's in a damn .rar file though, i hope the bastard works

I already tested it out yesterday. Im pretty amzed. It ran Resident Evil Code Veronica flawlessly, the only graphical gliches were found were in the ingame menus. It was still playable though. I also got Capcom Vs Snk 2, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Ikaruga, Street Fighter 3 to run too. After seeing Dreamcast games on my PC has really motivated me to get a VGA box for my Dreamcast. Seeing DC games on my monitor looks incredible! 2D games look better on my TV though, I thought 2D graphics were always filtered on the DC. Here's some R.E shots I posted in another forum: www.ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=69870www.ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=69871www.ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=69872Some text from the Chanka site which everyone should know: "This project started 3 months ago, it's a joint venture between baktery, unai and garrofi. It hasn't been easy, a lot of hours and headaches, but we think it's time to release an alpha version. We hope you will be surprise, you can play commercial games at a decent speed with a 2ghz CPU. Chankast is a very fast emulator with no hle parts."

Thank god for emulation! I've had a few reliablility problems with my DC in the past, and have been wondering for the past year whether to buy a spare DC should my current one bite the dust. Problem solved!

well tried it with a game and it keeps resetting itself or crashing...tried loads of different bios/flash and it still flocks up. i'll stick to the real thing! hullcityfcmad

Well, you have to make sure that the game youre trying to run is self-bootable, otherwise it will just keep resetting itself. Ifs its not self-bootable then try using a boot disk like utopia. As for the bios you need a dc_bios.bin (2MB) and dc_flash.bin (131kB), any other bios crashes the emulator.
If I wasnt allowed to say any of the above please delete this post.
Dont expect great results with all games though, it is an alpha first release after all.
