I have found a temporary solution to my emulating on win 2000 problem by downloading mame32k
But for a few games (matrimelee and kof 2001) are made up of bin files.
Im guessing I will need to get a bin to rom converter but where would I found one or is this completly wrong?

to convert *.bin to *.rom (and vice versa) first, go to folder options-> View-> uncheck Hide file extensions then , select the file you need to "convert", press F2, erase .rom and type in .bin , remember, mame needs filenames like 218-c1.bin not kof98_c1.rom (that's neorageX), notice the difference.. THATS FREAKIN IT  easy as pie btw, i suggest you using ROMCENTER or CLRMAME Pro if you want mame sets... these programs are rom managers which arrange you roms to thier proper filenames sizes and even fix corrupted files.. |

clrmame pro and romcenter never worked for me on my other machine.
Iv'e been up all night sorting out this damn computer and im at my wits end.
