i put my rom in the same folder as neoragex and click import but it cannot detect them, and i have the directories set as roms and have neogeo.zip file i'm lost

Maybe cause your NeorageX version doesn't support these roms
If that so, you need the hacked version

i have the same prob my neroragex cannot detect only the newest games

Take all the files out of your rom zip file. And rename the ones that have a .bin extension, to have a .rom extension.
My copy of neorageX has never recognized my mame roms as compatible. (If your roms in the zip have names like 244-v1.bin they are mame roms) My neoragex roms usually have names like "lastbld2_v1.rom"

yeah all my roms are zipped (*.zip) ok and i'll try that to rename
