How do i configure the joystick in MAME???

well, i finally decided to cheat on Kawaks and use MAME just to play kof2003 ;D
but simple question, how do i use the joystick in mame?

I think if you press tab when playing you can change the settings that way.

RTFM... that tends to work

Pressing tab does bring up the settings, but I think before you run the game you also need to tell mame that you are using a joystick before you run the game. Been so long since I last used mame I can barely remember

I only use mame32 so I can play Garou motw.

why don't you use kawaks for garou?

hmm.... nope TAB doesn't do anything at all when i'm playing.

Right click on the game and go on Properties
Click on Controllers
And click >Enable joystick output<

This should resolve your problem

yep, it sure solved my problem
but the buttons aren't where i want them
is there a way to configure which button is what?
