After many hours searching the net i managed to find the only surviving windows version of Mugen available from a japanese site. Unfortunately part of the readme is in Japanese and the code to add characters doesn't work. I have also noticed that the official mugen site has been down for quite some time. I was wondering if anyone here uses mugen and could naybe give me some help on how to use it. I would also like to know what I should use to make my own sprites as im planning on making a beat em up featuring people I know, most people will proably say photoshop but is there any specialist software that can help with 2d sprite design. And maybe a english config file would help ;D Plz help  |

Am I right in thinking that there aren't any mugen developers here?
If so does anyone know any links to any english tutorial site?
I already know of a few english sites but 90% are in spanish or japanese.

try having a look on edonkey(file sharing prog)...i've seen a few bits in lists with mugen mentioned in the name  hullcityfcmad |

I use mugen. I used to use it a lot more. Even made quite a bit of progress on a mugen KOF game.
Mind showing me this so called windows mugen? I'd be very interested in seeing if it is the same as a certain hack that has cropped up recently.

there's a version for xp but you can supposedly only have two characters .....there's a few games on edonkey 4 it. hullcityfcmad |

Yeah thats the hack.
It works surpisingly -really well, and much better than dos mugen.
It is in fact still a dos program even though it calls itself winmugen. It is a hack of the last dosmugen version.
And for some inexplicable reason, you can only put in 2 characters.

Won't be downloading that then.
I was planning on using the designs for some kof characters and rework them into liknesses of other people.
