With all this and the limit on the memory part. Sure hope the hunch Kaz has about the new project being indeed a new board or new hardware would sure the thing to solve it all.
That would open up the growth capacities on larger games with more frames, better quality sound and the likes.

Well they seem to have done a pretty good job with SvC . It will get emulated eventually, but for the time being the jamma board they released it on seems to have stopped roms leaking out. Yiu make it sound as if you *want* Playmores games to be pirated. My main point *possibly* use new features in the hardware or something, and the first thing you say is "that would mean creating a new emu.". Somehow I don't think Playmore are going to say "ah damn, we cant change the hardware or put new features in the cart, cos that would mean those emulating kids won't be able to play the game". Somehow I think they are bothered about selling actual carts, not catering to people that pirate the games. Kaz

Dude...quite the romgreedy talk. You are more and more giving the impression that you really don't give a rat's ass about SNK and their work but just want to leech of off them. Seiryu

Asking when a game that JUST CAME OUT is going to be decrypted and decrypted is pure ROM leeching and shows no appreciation for the work, time, and money that goes into making the game.
Its precisely people like you that have no clue what the emulation scene is truly about and will ruin it someday.

On a lighter note... Has anyone ever used MUGEN? I know a lot of people despise it, and its not "quite" the same as an actual version of an SNK game, but if one has the time, it can be quite entertaining. I have used it a little in the last few months, creating a massive KOF game with a lot of characters (over 60, take that memory constraints!). Even though a fair amount of the characters play like their counterparts, its not the ultimate end all KOF. the portraits of the fighters all clash as they are from deferent years of KOF. -especially horrid if they are from 2k1... mugenguild.free.fr has info and links to characters if anyone wants to have their "ultimate battles", and see what a battle between '96 Wolfgang Krauser and '99 Krizalid would be like.

I've never used MUGEN before. Is hit detection and priority ever a major issue?
