OK, so I downloaded the svcc.zip that comes along with kawaks (1.46) and the loader (complete with neogeo.zip). Start kawaks, SvC is not shown. Start the loader instead, still, it is not shown. Open the asr.dat, and found some DAT info on SvC. Copy that section, and save as separate svcc.dat. Copy svcc.dat to all folders in kawaks (since I don't know where it should go), and the title is still not shown.
So, I copy svcc.dat to Nebula folder under "romdata". It shows on the loading list. Load it, and my Nebula crashes. Download the latest version of Nebula, and it still crashes. Is there anything that I miss? Or the rom is simply not working? Thanks in advance.

i take it your using xp...so the loader won't work unless you use windows98 compatibility mode.i'd reinstall kawaks seeing you've got asr.dats everywhere.....when you've done it right click on the yellow star kawaks loader,go to properties...you'll see an option for compatibility...choose it and set it for win98/me. now run kawaks from the yellow star and svc chaos will be in the list. the rom and neogeo.zip needs to be in the rom folder. hullcityfcmad

Whoaa, it's that simple. Thanks a lot!! BTW, where should the DAT file really go in Kawaks?

svc:c worked on my version of xp and I don't think it was running win98 mode as I didn't set it to do that.
Odd.

The loader always worked flawlessly for me in xp too. Do you have the bootleg version plus? If so that could be why. Is there some kind of tutorial which covers things such as dats, bioses and other rom fixing techniques out there? If not some of the users of this site should make a joint effort tutorial guide type thing and host it on kazuyas page.

about five or six years worth of experience....from everything from neogeo,mame,p64,nebmodel2 etc etc etc etc. give it time...you'll pick it up....though you never stop learning! hullcityfcmad

These are the kind of things which make n00bs ask dumb questions for simple problems, there doesn't seem to be any real decent tutorial for things like this.
Iv'e been using emu's for 5 years now but im newish to neogeo and cps1/2 emulating and as they require a bit of brain power to understand i'd rather learn this instead of regualr console emu's.

to me there's no dumb questions in emulation unless the user hasn't read the read me file with an emu....that does my head in!!! hullcityfcmad

I just discovered that Iori's QCFx2 + K super move doesn't do any damage. Plus, Iori will disappear from the screen when he lifts his opponent. So, only the opponent will be left swinging upward. Is this an emulation bug, and a bug in the game itself?

Yeah that's a emu bug. Some of the newer p1 roms fix that problem though.
